Hello! Yami Goku again! Here's something new: A non-A-Ko fic! This is a short fic, so don't get too comfortable.

Pokémon belongs to Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures, Inc., not me. If it was mine, I'd say so. But it isn't.

"WHY 'VICTREEBEL' ONLY HAS ONE 'L'"
A Pokémon FanFic by Yami Goku

Long ago, in a quaint little village called Red Town, there lived two powerful Pokémon trainers. The first trainer, named Green, trained Grass-Type Pokémon. He was especially proud of his strongest Pokémon, a Victreebell. The other, Purple, specialized in Rock-Type Pokémon. His strongest Pokémon was an Onix. One day, these two trainers met each other, and decided to battle their best Pokémon against each other.
Green sent out Victreebell, Purple sent out Onix, and the battle began. Green knew he had the type advantage, so he decided to end it right away. He called for a Razor Leaf, a move that practically guaranteed victory against a Rock/Ground element. However, before the attack could hit, Purple ordered his Onix to use Dig! Onix dug underground, narrowly avoiding the Razor Leaf attack! With an underground assault impending, Green immediately called for his Victreebell to run to a safe location. Victreebell shrieked, and began to hop to safety. But alas, it was too slow, and the mighty Onix sprung up from the ground with an incredible fury, knocking poor
Victreebell unconscious! Green graciously admitted defeat, and payed Purple =P=1,000 for his victory. Once Purple had left the vicinity of the battle site, Green went over to his fallen Victreebell. He stared at it and wondered how it could've lost to a _Rock_-Type like Onix. It
should've _won_! But just then, Green recalled that Victreebell was not only a Grass element, but a _Poison_ element as well, which were _weak_ against Ground-Type moves, such as Dig! Cursing his stupidity and Victreebell's awful Speed, he delivered a swift kick to his Victreebell. And he kicked it again. He kicked it and kicked it, and he kept on kicking it until he had kicked the L out of it.

Anyhoo, my best guess as to why "Victreebel" has only one "L" (and why "Feraligatr" has no "O") is that all the English Pokémon names seem to be restricted to 10 letters, so they fit on your GameBoy® screen. That's the most logical explaination there is.
