I'm heading for the open field.

Dashing right up the snowy hill,
eyes squinted against the chill.
Lungs bursting, gasping for air,
icy storms are ruffling my hair.

Hunger exploding to the smell of fear.
I'm hunting, chasing the fleeing deer.
My blood's burning, I'm ready to kill,
persuing my prey with predatory skill.

Absorbed in this deadly race
faster and faster the pace
I'm reaching the top.

!!! STOP !!!

Shivering, senses alert,
ears pricked up high....
Was this call near by ??

Gazing at pale ghostly skys,
a full moon's about to rise.
Silent valley below,
covered with snow.

Feeling a sudden yearning....
Aaah...let the deer be gone !

I bare my fangs.... grinning,
take a deep breath
and
sing my song
