Ranma lay his head back against the Tendo's roof. `What a bust,' he commented, thinking back to the wedding that was blown to hell… along with the dojo… and part of the yard… and the walkway leading between the dojo proper and house.

Ranma heaved a deep sigh. He looked down at his hands. Within he held the only hope he had of finding freedom, the Nanban Mirror. “I doubt there's anyone with a worse life than mine,” he challenged the mirror softly.

As if accepting the pigtailed boy's challenge, the mirror began to seal the taped together shards of glass. Ranma paused and gazed a bit closer at the mirror oddly. “I must be more tired than I thought,” he mused and hopped down from the roof; heading in for a quick nap before dinner.

However, he never made it to the ground before the mirror glowered a blindingly bright white, dispersing as quickly as if formed.
