Chaos Fist

Disclaimer: I'm going to say this once a chapter until the last few. Ranma ½ is (not) mine. I (don't)
own any and all copyrights associated with them, and I think you can sue me for saying otherwise. So
there. Also, this story takes place any time before Ranma has to pose as Ranko to see his mother. He
hasn't had the Moxibustion Point placed on him yet, but he still knows the Hiryu Shoten-Ha, and all the
variants. Why, you ask? Because it's convenient.

Chapter 1

Hit Me

"Man Ryoga, that was awesome! Where'd you learn it?" Ryoga Hibiki rose from his kneeled position on the
ground. Even non-martial artists such as Kasumi could feel the residual ki in the surrounding
atmosphere from one of his best new techniques; there was that much.

"That's one of the techniques of a new style I'm studying, the Fist of Tranquility. I would ask my
master to teach you, but it relies on physical strength, which you don't have enough of, and stamina

strength. I barely had enough."

Ranma looked smug. "That's okay. The Anything Goes is better than that anyway." Genma struck a pose.

"Ranma m'boy, you have finally learned the truth that I, Soun, and the Master have known all along: the
Anything Goes is undefeatable!" WHACK! "H-hello m-master." Happosai rolled off of Genma's head and
landed lightly on Akane's chest.

"SWEETO!" Akane swung a slightly-bigger-than-normal-mallet, which Happosai nimbly jumped over and
landed across the table, seated on a cushion. "No Genma, you're wrong. The Anything Goes is NOT
undefeatable. There are exactly two styles, and only two styles, which can defeat the Anything Goes:
The Chaos Fist, and the Fist of Tranquility. Of course there are styles that can fight us to a
standstill, but no other styles can defeat us hands down, no questions asked." Genma snorted.

"Forgive me master, but I believe that you are-" Happosai cut him off with a quick blow to the gut.

"No, Genma, I am NOT mistaken! They rely on speed. I challenged a fourth-year student of the Chaos Fist
school, and was beaten in . . . five minutes."

Ranma smirked. "How about the Fist of Tranquility school? How long did they beat you in?" Happosai
scowled at Ranma.

"I faced another fourth-year student, and was also beaten in . . . five minutes."

Ranma smiled outright then. "I guess I should find the master of this Chaos Fist school, eh? Maybe I
could learn something from him."

Happosai inadvertently supplied Ranma with the information he needed. "They were still based in Juuban
last time I was there. I don't think they've moved, but the master had this insatiable love for
Hokkaido; he'd visit at least twice a month. Anyway. . .No, Ranma! I was lying! I think it's somewhere
in America! You don't want to visit a dangerous place like that, do you? Of course not! But Juuban and
Hokkaido are even worse! I heard Juuban has horrible demons, and pretty sailor-suited soldiers of . . .
remind me to find them, okay? . . . justice! Never go near there!"

Ranma only smirked. "Thanks, lech. Now I KNOW to look in Juuban or Hokkaido. If it's in Juuban, I even
get to see Mom." When he saw Genma's face his smirk widened. "That's right Oyaji, I know Mom's in
Juuban. I found one of the letters you were gonna send to her. We were this close and you didn't tell
me? Why?" Genma could only hang his head in shame, unable to face his son. Ranma's face softened, and
he went upstairs, stopping at the top. "Kasumi, call me when dinner's ready, okay?"
