Ranma 1/2 Fan Fiction ❯ Fly ❯ Prologue

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Two things inspired this story:

The song `Fly' sung by Celine Dion

Max-chan's Ranma fic `Two beds and a coffee machine'

This fic is dedicated to those who lost their lives on September 11 and to Max-chan. If you read this Max-chan, PLEASE update `Nightingale' & `Rose Warrior'!

I do not own anything excepted the plot. (If you can call it that)

Fly

A doctor came into the hospital room. On the bed lay a woman with short blue hair and brown eyes, beside her sat a man with black hair in a pig tale and blue eyes. "I regret to inform you that she's not going to make it. You may see her if you wish."

The blue haired women carefully stood up, "I want to see her."

The man stood and helped the women, his wife, out the door, and down the hall to the hospital's nursery.

They approached a crib that held a little baby girl.

The woman started to sing a song;

"Fly, fly little wing

Fly beyond imaging

The softest cloud

The whitest dove

Upon the wind of heavens love

Past the planets and the stars

Leave this lonely world of ours

Excape the sorrow and the pain

And fly again

Fly, fly precious one

Your endless journey has begun

Take your gentle happiness

Far too beautiful for this

Cross over to the other shore

There is peace forever more

But hold this memory bittersweet

Until we meet

Fly, fly do not fear

Don't waste a breath

Don't shed a tear

Your heart is bold

Your soul is free

Be on your way

Don't wait for me

Above the universe you'll climb

On beyond the hands of time

The moon will raise the sun will set

But I won't forget

Fly, fly little wing

Fly were only angels sing

Fly away

The time is right

Go now find the light."

The heart monitor the baby was hooked up to let out a long and continuos beep. The blue haired woman burst into tears, and sagged against her husband, "We lost her, Ranma, we lost her!" She cried.

"I know, Akane, I know." Ranma said, staring at the crib that held his dead baby girl. *Good-bye, Anomie.*
