I Don't Know You Anymore
“It's been a long time... Shishou...”
“You...” Hiko turned to see the man that even he'd heard rumors of during Bakumatsu. The hitokiri. The demon. He could see what the war had done to him: the brutal scar, the confused eyes shifting from a hitokiri's to... something else entirely... So, this was hitokiri Battousai. This was the monster that Hiko, himself, had helped create.
Why could he still sense Shinta in his ki?
“So, you've returned,” he thought. “But which of you has come to me? The hitokiri... or my baka deshi...? Do I trust my eyes... or my heart?”
