----------
You think I'd leave your side, baby
You know me better than that.
----------

Crowding fans flowed around the silent Minako. On stage, the
'Three Lights' played a song that touched her heart. It was
the song Yaten wrote for her, all those years ago. They were
inseparable back then. Now, it was as if nothing ever happened.
Well, that feeling always was there, but they just said they
were friends. She couldn't quite remember what happened to
break them apart. Either, his going on tour for a year, or her
wanting to go to college and finish school. They went their own
ways, leaving each other in the dust. She promised herself time
and time again that one day they would be back together.

Her eyes stayed on him throughout the whole song. Taking in the
sight of him on stage, singing the song. His eyes closed tightly,
covering his emerald green eyes. His long silver hair in a loose
ponytail, except for the strands that weren't long enough to stay.
She missed him more than words could say. More than she could
ever express.

----------
Think I'd leave you down when you're down on your knees
I wouldn't do that
----------

She tightened her grip around the plastic covered ticket
which read 'BACKSTAGE.' Minako slowly made her way through the
crowd and around to the side door. A bulky man stopped her before
she could open the door. She flashed him her pass and told him her
name. He nodded and opened the door for her.

Minako managed a thanks as she went through the door and made
her way to the side of the stage. Hiding behind the curtains, having
a clear view of the three brothers that played the last song. Always
their song.

When the last note was played, the band thanked the crowd and
went off opposite of the side Minako was on. She turned away from
the stage and started to search for Yaten's room.

A gold star with a Y in the middle of it quickly told Minako that was
the room she was looking for. She took in a deep breath, then knocked
nervously on the door.

After a few moments of hearing things getting moved around on the
other side of the door, it flung open. She gasped as she looked up and
found Yaten staring down on her.

----------
I'll do you right when you want
And if only you could see into me
----------

"Hi." she managed just above a whisper.

"Minako?" he asked, disbelieving.

She nodded slowly looking at him with questioning eyes. He slowly
moved out of the way of the entrance and gestured for her to come in.

It was quiet for a good thirty minutes as Minako sat in a plush chair,
watching Yaten scurry about in the room. Back and forth, picking up
things and putting them where they belong.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" Yaten finally asked, making
Minako jump.

"I just wanted to see you, that's all."

"And how did you get backstage?"

"Luck of the trade." she replied, throwing her pass at him.

He easily caught the yellow piece of plastic paper, and chuckled.
"You always had your ways, Minako."

"I miss you." she blurted out, changing the subject completely.

"What?"

----------
Oh, when your cold
I'll be there, holding you tight to me
----------

He looked at her puzzled. She suddenly had tears forming in her
eyes. Only seconds ago she was as if nothing was bothering her.

"I want, no, I need you in my life again." Minako responded, a
few tears escaping her eyes.

"I, I-"

"No, Yaten, I'm sorry," She interrupted. "I didn't mean to come
here and do that. I just wanted, to say hi. . . really."

Yaten walked over to her and put his arms around her. Minako rested
her head on his shoulder. The tears threatening even worse. Not
wanting to break down in front of him, Minako shook her head and
pushed him away from her.

"I'm sorry." She said again before running out of the room.

Yaten sat where she was, looking at the open door where she was last
been able to be seen. He slowly put his head in his hands. Why were
things always so hard?

----------
When you're on the outside, baby, and you can't get in
I will show you, you're so much better than you know.
----------

Ring.

Ring.

Minako slowly made her way to the door. She was not in the mood to
talk, much less see anyone. She humiliated herself. Why did she talk
herself into going to see him. She knew this would end up happening.

After unlocking the many locks on her door, she opened it. Surprised
to see Yaten standing there.

"How did you find out where I lived?" She bit at him.

She especially didn't want to see him again, after today.

"Luck of the trade." He replied simply as he handed her her purse.

"Oh, thanks." She said, a slight blush formed on her cheeks.

----------
When you're lost
You're alone, and you can't get back again
I'll find you, darling, and I'll bring you home.
----------

"So you're just going to let me freeze out here?" Yaten asked with
a smirk.

The next thing he knew the door was in his face. He blinked a couple
of times, wondering what the hell just happened. As he sighed and
turned to leave the door opened with a jerk.

"Now you know what if feels like," Minako said.

He noticed her eyes were red and a little puffy, apparently from
crying.

"You're the one that ran off for college," Yaten explained catching
on to what she was talking about.

"Come in," she sighed moving out of the entrance. "We need to talk
anyways."

Now Yaten didn't know what to think or do. He just stood on her front
steps of her house with a confused look on his face. She smiled as she
looked at him.

He walked in without a word. He followed her into the living room and
sat on the couch.

"I 'planned' on coming back," Minako finally said, "but when you left
me, it just, hurt. College was just an excuse for me to run."

"That is pretty much what the touring was for me." Yaten agreed, "An
excuse."

"I look around, and all of my friends have someone," Minako said
bringing her knees to her chin. "I just sometimes feel that I'm
destined to be alone forever. I probably cry myself to sleep every
night."

"Minako, I'm--"

"No," she interrupted, "let me finish."

Yaten just nodded his head.

"Do you know that whenever I'm lonely, and whenever I cry myself to
sleep, the one person I think about is you," tears silently formed
in her eyes again as she spoke. "Sometimes I think, that my one chance
at true love was with you, and I blew it. Let it fall right under my
grasp. I really miss you. I miss you so much it hurts."

"I miss you too, Minako," he said enveloping him in a hug.

----------
If you want to cry
I am here to dry your eyes
And in no time you'll be fine.
----------

She lowered her head to his chest, and the tears came faster. Her arms
hugged him with all her strength. She wouldn't let him go this time.

He kissed her hair, and hugged her back. Lost in the moment of them
being together, in each others arms, reminded him of the old times.
How he missed them.

Minako cried all her frustrations out and onto Yaten's shirt. He
didn't move, or even try to talk. He just sat there, running his
hands through her hair, soothing her.

Slowly her sobs subsided and only her sniffs were heard. She lifted
her head to look into his eyes.

"I'm sorry," she said in a hoarse whisper.

"Don't be," he replied running his hand down her jawbone.

She smiled a little as he used his thumbs to wipe her tears away.
They never took their eyes away from each other.

----------
You think I'd leave your side, baby
You know me better than that.
You think I'd leave you down, when you're down on your knees
I wouldn't do that
----------

"You know," Yaten said in a half sigh, half laugh, "I sometimes
feel the same way. But, my one chance at true love was you, and I
did let it slipaway. Now that I'm here with you I feel like fate
has given me a second chance."

Minako stared at him, she wasn't sure what to say.

"Did you know that I really don't deserve it though?" Yaten asked
her. "But here I am, sitting with you, on your couch, and in your
house. I left you all those years ago, even though you were coming
back."

"I should have gone to the local college, it would have been so much
easier," Minako said.

"The school that you went to was better." Yaten shook his head, "It
would of been easier if I had only listened to you. I shouldn't have
walked out that door."

"We both made our mistakes, I guess." Minako muttered. "And we're both
getting a second chance."

"Then what should we do?" Yaten asked.

"We should stay here," Minako said, wrapping her arms around him once
again. "You here with me, and I'm here with you. Only this time we
aren't letting go."

Yaten looked at her after the hug loosened a little. "Do you know how
much I love you?"

"Not as much as I love you." Minako whispered.

----------
I'll do you right when you want
And if you could only see into me.
--
Oh, when you're cold,
I'll be there, hold you tight to me
Oh, when you're low,
I'll be there, by your side
--
Oh, when you're cold,
I'll be there, hold you tight to me
Oh, when you're low
I'll be there by your side.
