Story #40 from Sailor DKC! Summer’s nearly over. Hope everyone’s
having a great time! This is the sequel to “Little Mina”, starring
the couple, Kunzite and Mina. There will be a conclusion.
The picture that inspired this sequel is from Banana Jelly. Her works
are at Generals Love. When you see this *, I am describing the
picture in a scene.
I’ve made up some new powers for the Earth Generals, plus I’ve
changed “Spheres of Fire” to “Orbs of Fire” for Jadeite’s attack.

HE KISSED ME!

On the Moon in the Royal Gardens of the Moon Palace, as
Prince Endymion and Princess Serenity discussed the heroic efforts of
the Earth Generals to the Sailor Senshi, one General kept staring at
one Sailor.
As his heart pounded like mad, Kunzite could not believe his
eyes. There, before him, was Mina, a.k.a. Sailor Venus, all grown up!
He tried to see if there was any reminder of the adorable 13-year-old
who ran down the halls of the Moon Palace to happily greet him. But
there was nothing in the young woman in front of him that connected
to ‘Little Mina’. The small, bubbly princess was gone, and in her
place was a Sailor Senshi with long, flowing, pale blonde hair and a
beautiful figure fitting very well in her soldier’s outfit and legs
that were slender and in firm shape.
But it was her face that convinced Kunzite that it was Mina
he knew so long ago. For although her features were no longer like a
child, but a woman, her eyes had the same sparkle when she was happy
to see him. As she gave him a small smile, Kunzite could feel his
heart beat faster.
Venus thought Kunzite looked more handsome than he did
three years ago. His hair had gotten longer and whiter, his features
more sharper, and his stature more broader and huskier. The cape
around him made him look heroic, but it was his eyes that thrilled
her the most. They no longer have the look of adorability and
fondness towards her. Now they have the look of intrigue and awe. She
drew in an excitable gasp. How she longed for him to look at her this
way, and she felt so happy. ‘Maybe now he’ll feel differently towards
me,’ she thought.
Serenity was concluding the story, “…and so I insisted
them to come here to show my gratitude, and to meet with you.”
“If we work together,” Endymion suggested. “We can
plan better defense strategies for the attacks on our home planet.”
Venus stepped forward. “We have a stadium outside of the
Palace where we do most of our training and perfecting our defense
techniques. Perhaps we should all go there and test our skills.”
“Excellent idea!” Kunzite blurted out, then turned red as
everyone looked at him. “Pardon my outburst. If we are going to find
out who is behind these attacks, we need every help available.”
“Of course!” the Prince agreed. “Then let us proceed to
this stadium.”
At the stadium, it was decided to pair a General and a
Senshi and have them demonstrate their magical fighting powers.
Sailor Mars and General Jadeite were the first to start.
“ORBS OF FIRE…CHARGE!”
“FIRE…SOUL!”
The two struck at each other with their powers and were
able to dodge from the other’s attack. Immediately, they struck at
each other again.
“BURNING…MANDALA!”
“JADEITE…SHIELD!”
They kept at this, until towards the end, with finishing
touches, made it a tie.
“MARS…FLAME…SNIPER!” Her attack was knocked away by his
flashing, fiery sword.
“JADEITE SWORD…FLASH!”
Then it was Sailor Jupiter’s and General Nephrite’s turn.
Only this time they depended on their physical strength, instead of
their powers. After a few minutes of punches, kicks, and swings,
Jupiter managed to give Nephrite a slam in his gut, sending him to
the floor on his seat.
“SUPREME…THUNDER!”
He managed to deflect it with his sword.
“STAR SWORD…STRIKE!”
She leapt out of the way, flipping frontwards to him and
kicking his sword out of his hands. He jumped up and backflipped to
avoid her kicks. Then he stood still and concentrated.
“NEPHRITE SHADOW…SPREAD!”
His own shadow came to life and headed right at her!
“SPARKLING…WIDE…PRESSURE!”
Knocking his shadow back at him, she sent out one more
attack.
“JUPITER…OAK…EVOLUTION!”
But her attacking leaves were blasted away by his granting
power of the stars.
“STARS OF APOLLO…GO!”
Thus another tie.
Next came General Zoisite and Sailor Mercury.
“SHINE…AQUA…ILLUSION!”
He dodged and counterattacked.
“ZOI-PETALS…PULVERIZE!”
She dodged as well, then they both started to encircle
slowly about each other. They stared at each other as if planning who
will attack first. Then he started running towards her. She prepared
herself and leapt out of the way as he suddenly drew out an unseen
sword and struck at her.
“ZOI-SWORD…BLAZE!”
As it hit the ground which cracked, it sent out showers of
light upward, missing her. She landed and waved her arms.
“BUBBLES…SPRAY!”
Surrounded by her bubble fog, he frantically looked
around, unable to see because of the fog’s density. Then he heard,
“MERCURY…AQUA…RHAPSODY!”
Instantly, he formed a barrier surrounding himself.
“ZOI-BARRIER…UPHOLD!”
The attack beat against the barrier until it died down,
ending as another tie between the two components who smiled at each
other.
Finally, it was General Kunzite and Sailor Venus.
“BOOMERANG…SLASH!”
“CRESCENT…BEAM!”
Her attack knocked aside his boomerang strike. He thought,
‘Never have I seen Mina like this. She’s so fantastic and so…’ He
paused as he watched her prepare for next attack. The way her hair
fluttered straight up as she gracefully moved into position marveled
him so much. ‘…beautiful!’ he finished.
“VENUS…LOVE-ME…CHAIN!”
“BEAMS OF ENERGY…CHARGE!”
His energy ray beams knocked aside her love chain attack.
Then she went into position that showed her winking and blowing a
kiss into her hand. It puzzled him until she cried out,
“VENUS…LOVE AND BEAUTY SHOCK!”
“Whoa!” he yelled as he dodged out of the way.
“SPHERES OF ENERGY…BLAST!”
“Yikes!” she yelped as she jumped out of the way as well.
At that moment, applause from everyone halted their
actions. “I guess this would prove that each team is equal in
strength and power,” Endymion declared, walking towards them.
Everyone followed suit.
“Yes, this has been very entertaining and spectacular!”
Serenity gushed, excitedly. “It’s also very promising. By working
together, we can find out why these creatures are attacking Earth.”
Everyone agreed, and then they all started to compliment
each other on their fighting skills and techniques. Venus and Kunzite
didn’t get a chance to talk to each other until the Prince announced
that he and his men must go back home. He and the Princess headed off
toward the Moon Palace, arm in arm. Everyone else paired up after
them. Jadeite and Mars went first, then Nephrite and Jupiter. Mercury
and Zoisite held hands as they walked next with Venus and Kunzite
behind them, both feeling awkward to look at one another.
‘Why doesn’t he say anything?’ Venus thought, biting her
lip. ‘Surely he has noticed a great change in me.’
‘What do I say to her?’ Kunzite thought, running his hand
through his hair. ‘She’s not the same little girl I used to talk to.’
In the Palace, everyone arrived at the transportation room
and started saying their goodbyes. Mercury and Zoisite were saying
their own private farewells by staring in each other’s eyes, holding
each other’s hands up to their chins and talking softly.
Kunzite and Venus noticed this as they were saying goodbye
to everyone else. Then they winded up facing each other. Startled,
Kunzite blurted out, “Um, uh, I suppose my friend Zoisite has taken a
liking to your friend!”
“Y-y-y-yes!” Venus stuttered as she fiddled with her
fingers. “They’ve been keeping in touch with letters.”
“Huh,” he replied as looked at them again. “I wonder why
we didn’t.”
“Well, I guess maybe we’re too busy with our training as
General and Senshi. Me, especially. I’ve been appointed official
bodyguard to Princess Serenity, and that takes a lot of work!”
“What a coincidence!” he chuckled. “I have been appointed
as the official bodyguard to Prince Endymion as well.”
“Really? Then that means we might see more of each other!”
she exclaimed, happily, then recovered herself. “Um, that is, in the
presence of our Royal Majesties, of course.”
“Of course,” he agreed, then shrugged and nodded his head.
“Well, um, until we meet again.” He turned away.
“Kunzite?”
He turned back.
“Aren’t you glad to see me?”
He saw the yearning, sad look in her eyes, and felt guilty
for not being more enthusiastic. He stepped up to her and rubbed her
shoulders gently. “Oh, my dear. I’m sorry. I am glad to see you. I
missed you a lot.”
“Then why haven’t you called me by my name?”
Startled, he laughed nervously. “I guess I was so amazed
at how much you’ve changed, I totally forgot. How do you want me to
call you? Sailor Venus, Lady Mina, or just plain Mina?”
Brightening up, she smiled. “Any of those is fine. Just as
long as you’re not calling me ‘Little Mina’ anymore.”
As soon as she said ‘Little Mina’, her younger image
replaced her for a second in his eyes. Now, he saw a lovely grown-up
woman before him. Staring at every aspect of her face, Kunzite said,
quietly, “No, you’re not little anymore.”
Venus’ eyes widened in surprise as he closed his eyes,
bent his head down, and captured her lips with his. Only when she
felt his hands slid to her waist, did she close her eyes.
* As they kissed, Venus placed her right hand on his chest and lifted
her left leg at the knee for a pose, while Kunzite’s cape fluttered
about him. *
Someone made a clearing sound with the throat, and the two
broke apart. As they confronted everyone staring at them, they turned
red. Kunzite then quickly took his place on the transfer pad while
the men followed suit. As soon as the Prince and the Generals
disappeared on the way home, the women gathered around Venus.
“Oh, my gosh, Mina! He kissed you!” Mars grabbed her hand,
excitedly.
“I knew he would notice how much you’ve changed, but I
didn’t expect him to react that way!” Jupiter placed her hands on her
hips and gave Venus a ‘you go, girl!’ look.
“Really, Mina!” Mercury was blushing as she folded her
hands together. “Even Zoisite and I haven’t kissed yet!”
Gasping in delight, Venus spun around in a dance. “I never
thought it would ever happen, but it did! He kissed me! He actually
kissed me!”
“Oh, Mina, I’m so happy for you!” Serenity giggled,
jumping up and down. “I’ll think I’ll ask Mother to arrange a party
so you can hook up with him!”
“A party? Wait, Princess, it’s not necessary!” Venus
pleaded.
“Oh, don’t worry. I’ll tell her that it’s a celebration
for the Sailor Senshi and the Earth Generals working together. That’s
all!” As the Princess skipped off to the throne room, she said over
her shoulder, “And this will also give the other girls to hook up
with the other guys, too.!”
“What do you mean ‘hook up’?” Mars asked.
“Yeah, what are you up to?” Jupiter inquired.
“Princess, there’s no need for a party!” Mercury begged.
As the other Senshi ran after the Moon Princess, Venus
wrapped her arms around herself as she started walking down the
hallway to her room. “I wonder if he’ll kiss me again,” she sighed,
as she dreamily recalled the kiss. Then she paused and made a worried
face.
“Wait. Was it me he kissed, or was it Sailor Venus?”
