Dream Of Only Me

When the endless night sky comes and you're asleep

At first darkness is all you see

In the pools of imagination that run so deep

I'll protect you in your slumber if you dream of me

On days when the sun rises and you daydream away

Your thoughts have you gazing out into the sea

If one of your thoughts is about wanting me to stay

I will but you'll have to only dream of me

Even though I'm gone and you're howling of loneliness

I'll care for you forever how long that will be

If you can't run away from your mind's tragic madness

I can help you relieve your nightmares if you dream of me

In your mind of darkness and confusion

I'll be there to sort it our for you so then you'll see clearly

That I really am not here but only in your dream

I'll see you and you will see me again when you dream of me

Since endless seasons have past and you're still aching

Just move on and believe that it just wasn't meant to be

Be with another and dream of her even if you're faking

I'll still be with you when you dream of only me
