Loved One
 
Loved one why do you mourn so?
What possible reasons for mourn could there be?
The face that was dead was only me
Why do you let these tears flow?
 
Loved one why do you look so low?
Blood shot eyes
Words to sooth all lies
Death is not your foe
 
Loved one what is it I don't know?
How could a soul so black
Get the old you back
Each painful look causes the heart to slow
 
Loved one why is your heart filled with Woe?
Words you've held seep out
Untold pain you begin to shout
Care is something I can't show
 
Loved one can you melt away the ice and snow?
Fresh tears I wiped away
In my arms your quivering body lay
Your soul is like a window
 
Loved one why does my love for you grow?
Could it be because you love me to?
Could the future be me with you?
Wherever you go I will follow
 
… Even if I must go to the grave…
