since you´ve been gone
I´m doin´ fine now--I´ve finally moved on
It´s not so bad--I´m not that sad~
"Sonic," Amy said, staring at her wall," never again, Sonic"
~I´m not surprised just how well I survived
I´m over the worst, and I feel so alive
I can´t complain--I´m free again~
"Shadow, you may have Sonic, but..."she said,"i'll find someone too, I'll find someone who loves me for who I am." Amy sighed. " I'm free."
~And it only hurts when I´m breathing
My heart only breaks when it´s beating
My dreams only die when I´m dreaming
So, I hold my breath--to forget~
"oh, Sonic" she whispered,' no' she told herself,' he loves Shadow, not me.' Even the thought made her jealous.
=flashback=
"I'm sorry Amy, please try to understand," Sonic said," I love Shadow, I'm sorry"
"Son-"Amy started, chasing after sonic, but was cut off as he whirled around.
"please, Amy, don't follow me, I have to go, I...good-bye Amy," Sonic said as he turned once again.
"Sonic," Shadow said. Sonic followed Shadow's retreating back, and, without turning, he said,"I'm so sorry, good-bye, Amy, good-bye." And he left with those parting words. Amy didn't see him again.
=End Flashback=
~Don´t think I´m lyin´ ´round cryin´ at night
There´s no need to worry, I´m really all right
I´ve never looked back--as a matter of fact~
Oh, sure, she used to cry, but not anymore, no, now, she knew that she would be all right, that everything would be OK. If the world were perfect, that would be true. But, since it isn't, its not. She still missed him, of course, though, there was nothing that she could do about it.
