Vash looked up at the endless path of sand. It had been that way for five minutes.

"Thank god!" He said

"Thank god for what?" Asked Wolfwood

"We can finally have sometimes with out the girls!" Vash said with a smile on his face.

"Yay!" Wolfwood said while putting a cigarette in his mouth

Screech! Went the brakes on the car.

"What are you doing?" Wolfwood asked

"Do you see that?' Vash asked as he pointed to a small figure lying on the ground out on the sand. Wolfwood narrowed his eyes from the sun to get a better glimpse of the figure.

"IT'S A PERSON!!" Vash said jumping out of the car

"What?" Wolfwood shouted following Vash

When Wolfwood reached Vash, he noticed Vash was holding a thirteen girl in his arms.

"She looks fine!" Wolfwood said studying the girl

"She's not!" Vash said still looking at the girl

"What do you mean?" Wolfwood asked looking at Vash puzzled

Vash lifted up the girl's arm. It had a hole in it.

"She's been shot at!" He said looking at Wolfwood

"Vash…." The girl muttered

"Huh?" Wolfwood and Vash wondered as they looked at each other.

Vash rubbed his cheek.

"What was that for?" He asked looking at Meryl in pain

"You and Wolfwood leave for ten minutes and then you come back with a hurt teenager…. WHAT DID YOU DO SHOOT HER?!?!" She shouted

"Shhhhhhhhh!!" Vash said putting his finger to his lips.

Then Milly stepped out of the room.

"Well…?" Vash asked looking at Milly with concern

"She'll be fine Mr. Vash!" Milly said with a big smile on her face.

Wolfwood had his back against the wall looking at the room the girl was in he then fixed his attention to Vash.

"Vash?" He asked

"What?" Vash asked as he looked up at Wolfwood.

"How did the girl know you?"

"I don't know!"

Meryl looked at Vash then Wolfwood.

"Vash the girl knows your name?" she asked

Vash nodded his head.

"I don't know, but when I was holding her she said my name!" He said looking at his feet

"I wonder how she knows Mr. Vash's name?" Wondered Milly

"That's what I like to kn-" Vash stopped in mid sentence

"What Vash?" Wolfwood asked

Wolfwood, Meryl, and Milly looked at what Vash was looking at. It was the girl. She had blue eyes and dark blonde hair that was 47.6 cm long. (A/N I took the time to measure the length of my hair)

"Vash?" she asked putting her hand up to the door panel to support herself up.

"I'll be… she does know Vash!" Meryl said looking at the girl

"You better get back to bed! You're in no condition to get out of bed! Your arm is still bleeding" Milly said walking to the girl

No matter how hard Milly tried to get the girl back in the bed the girl would get out and walk into the living room, she had to see Vash.

"She's indomitable! I'll give her that" Wolfwood said looking at the girl.

"Vash!" The girl repeated

Vash stood up and walked up to the girl.

"Who are you? What's your name?" He asked looking into the girl's eyes.

"Alexis!" she said

"Alexis… that's a pretty name!" Vash said smiling at her

"It's good to see you Vashy!" Alexis said with a giggle

"Vashy?" Vash wondered

"She's meet him Meryl!" Milly said whispering to Meryl

"We've meet each other just today and you're calling me `Vashy'? I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU!!" Vash shouted

Alexis looked at Vash in horror.

"YOU DON'T EVEN REMEMBER ME?!?!? Alexis shouted in horror

Wolfwood looked at Alexis then Vash.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know you!" Vash said looking at the girl filling bad inside

Alexis narrowed her eyes, her hands turned into fists. The golden bracelets on her wrists jiggled. She was shaking.

"I'm your…." Alexis trailed off

"Huh? I couldn't hear the rest of it!" Vash said getting closer to Alexis

"I'm your COUSIN!" Alexis shouted

"WHAT?!?!" Vash shouted in shock
