Hey. Me again. I wrote this just now and it was kind of hard, because I was listening to fairly happy music. I think this is better than the last poems I posted. I couldn't think of a good anime it could go with. I think listening to a little Flyleaf helped me come up with some of this. Don't worry, I'm not gothic or emo. I just write slightly dark poetry. One of the few places I could pass for a goth. Well, here it is.

To slip away

It plays over and over.
We talk, then walk away.
Neither asking the biggest question,
"Will we ever meet again?"

Now here I am.
Crying, dying.
Ever so slowly,
Time slips by

The pain strengthens.
It clarifies everything.
No one can see,
No one can help.
Only you can.

I still wonder
Can we be? Could we be?
Maybe and maybe not.
Time tells us.

Was it meant to end this way?
I hope not.
Love burns us.
Sometimes we heal.
Sometimes we can't.

I don't care anymore.
We could have tried harder.
Could have tried to make this work.
We'll never know now.

The coolness of this knife,
Against my skin.
These tears,
They fall,
As I write my last letter to you.

I'm sorry,
I try to tell you.
You hold me as I slip away.
Please. Don't cry.
I don't want to leave you, but I have to.
Goodbye my love.
Please. Don't cry.
It's time.
