Chapter 1

"The Lost Memory"

Sakura looked at the doctor.

Doctor: I'm sorry. Syaoran is not your child's father.

Sakura: That's not possible.

Doctor: We matched the DNA.

Sakura: Who is the father?

Doctor: We don't know yet.

Sakura: I can't have this child. I'm only nineteen.

Doctor: You mean, you're going to have a, you know?

Sakura looked down.

Sakura: I don't know.

Doctor: Might I suggest a little trip to America?

Sakura: What for?

Doctor: I know a doctor there who can help you out. However, you'd have to stay there for at least several months.

Sakura: What can the doctor do?

Doctor: She can help you.

Sakura: I-I don't have enough money for a trip to America.

Doctor: Well, if you ever have the money, here's where the doctor is.

He handed her a piece of paper.

Doctor: Doctor Sally lives in Long Island, New York. The address is there.

Sakura: Thanks doctor.

Doctor: Good luck, Sakura.

Sakura smiled and walked out of the room.

The doctor grinned.

Voice: Good job Lucas.

A guy appeared out of the darkness of the room.

Doctor: Thank you….

The guy smiled.

Doctor: Master Zephyr.

Outside

Sakura's eyes filled with tears.

Tomoyo, her best friend, ran up to her.

Tomoyo: Well?

Sakura: I'm pregnant.

Tomoyo smiled.

Tomoyo: Congratulations!

Sakura: No.

Tomoyo's smile faded.

Tomoyo: What do you mean, "no"?

Sakura: Syaoran isn't the father.

Tomoyo: Stop kidding around.
Sakura: I'm not. He isn't the father.

Tomoyo: Then who is?

Sakura: The doctor doesn't know. But he told me to see this doctor in New York.

Tomoyo: Go to New York.

Sakura: I don't have the money.
Tomoyo: I don't think that's the issue.

Sakura: What are you talking about?

Tomoyo: You're scared, aren't you?

Sakura: No.

Tomoyo: Then let's go to New York. I can pay for it.

Sakura: No way. I can't ask you to do that.

Tomoyo: Sakura, I'm a millionaire, remember?

Sakura: Oh yeah, I mean, I can't.

Tomoyo: Oh come on, you need this.

Sakura: You just want to go to shop in Bloomingdale's.

Tomoyo: No!

Sakura raised her eyebrow.

Tomoyo: Stop looking at me.

Sakura: Fine.

Tomoyo: Yes!

Sakura looked behind Tomoyo, as she was talking, and saw Syaoran coming towards them.

Tomoyo: But we better hurry before Syaoran notices you're-

Sakura: SYAORAN! You're here!

She eyed Tomoyo. Tomoyo noticed and acted normal.

Syaoran: Hey. What were you both talking about?

Sakura: (Nervously) Oh nothing, we're just talking about… stuff.

Syaoran raised his eyebrows.

Syaoran: Come on Sakura. You can tell me anything.

Sakura looked into his eyes and smiled.
Sakura: Okay. I'll see you later Tomoyo.

Tomoyo smiled nervously and walked away.

Syaoran: So what's the big secret?

Sakura: Why don't we go to my apartment to talk?

Syaoran looked at her and grinned.

Syaoran: Ok.

They both walked inside a big, yellow building.

Sakura opened her door and she and Syaoran walked inside and closed the door.

Syaoran looked around.

Syaoran: Sure is different since… you know.

Sakura: Yeah.

Syaoran smiled and took off his shirt.

Sakura: What are you doing?

Syaoran: You know.

He wrapped his hands around her and kissed her. Sakura backed away.

Syaoran: What's wrong?

Sakura: We have to talk.

Syaoran: Okay.

Sakura sat down on her bed.

Sakura: I-I

Syaoran: Yeah?

Sakura: I'm p-pregnant.

There was a moment of silence.

Syaoran smiled.

Syaoran: Oh my god. I'm a father!

Tears were in his eyes.

Syaoran: I will always be on your side to protect him, or her. Always.

He kissed her forehead.

Sakura's eyes were filled with tears.

Syaoran: Who would've thought on our first time?

Sakura: Syaoran. Y-You're

Syaoran: Yes, honey?

Sakura tried to say it, but she couldn't.

Sakura: I'm so glad you're happy.

Syaoran smiled and kissed her.

The Next Day

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Sakura woke up and shut off her alarm.

Sakura: Oh great. Another day of college.

She got dressed and went to her kitchen.

Sakura: I should call Tomoyo.

She grabbed her phone and dialed.

Tomoyo: Hello?

Sakura: Hey. It's Sakura.

Tomoyo: Oh, hi. Did you tell him?

Sakura: I told him half.

Tomoyo: What?

Sakura: I told him I was pregnant and he was so happy.

Tomoyo: You did tell him that it isn't his?

There was a long silence on both lines.

Tomoyo: SAKURA!!

Sakura: He was so happy! I couldn't!

Tomoyo: You have to tell him.

Sakura: I got to go. See you in class?

Tomoyo: Sure.

Sakura hung up and took out some rice pudding from the fridge. She sat down at her couch and turned on the TV.

Announcer: Here we are in Tokyo where former champion of Duel Monsters, Yugi Moto, has won another tournament. Yugi, how does it feel?

The announcer handed the microphone to a boy with spiked hair.

Yugi: The Rose Tournament was very difficult, but it's just something I've been good at for the past few years.

Announcer: What are you going to do with the prize money?

Sakura: Let me guess, spend it on charity. Oh god, I can't stand these sell-outs.

Yugi: I'm going to use it to make a shelter for those who don't have homes.

Sakura: That's what they all say.

She turned off the TV and grabbed her backpack.

Sakura: Hmm, for some reason, that guy seemed familiar.

She left…

Author's Note: I know, I know. A little boring. But it'll get better soon, I promise… Oh, and sorry for not updating "Murderer in Tomeda" in a while. The last chapter will be put up on Halloween, don't miss it!!

Syaoran looked at them and hid behind a wall right behind them.

Sakura: Tomoyo, can I trust you with a secret?

Tomoyo: What?

Sakura: I think I know who the father of the baby is!

Syaoran's eyes widened.
