I was strong and stubborn,
I thought that I didn't need anyone,
I broke hearts,
And despite my cheating ways,
You beat me anyway,
But I still got to the finals,
It was there you and your friends taught me,
That there is more to winning than for riches,
That there was more to life than possessions,
I don't understand how I didn't see it,
But you saw it instead,
You had a purpose there,
I didn't,
And after those adventures,
I never thought I'd see you again,
Until the Battle City tournament,
I don't think I really had a purpose there either,
The hard part was that your sister looked up to me,
But why?
I wasn't anyone to look up too,
I didn't care about anyone,
You saved me from that man,
Who thought he owned the world,
Why?
And after that duel with Marik,
Even in the depths of the Shadow Realm,
I could still hear you calling for me,
Begging that I'd be all right,
Why do you care?
In the Shadow Realm,
I was scared that you'd leave me,
But why did I care?
I thought I'd care about no one,
But you were there for me,
And that made all the difference in my heart,
Because I love you,
I love you,
I love you,
And I still love you Jounouchi…
