A/N:  The idea for this hit me hard one evening and damned if I could get it out of my head.  Damn near needed a cold bath after that.  Having read a handful of fics with this pairing, I fell in love with them.  From dark, angsty tearjerkers, to sweet fluffy pieces, I've read all I came across.  Which isn't very many.  If you've read any good Yami Bakura x Yugi fics, please let me know!  Hopefully, I won't have read them!

These are my personal favorites:  Unsolvable Puzzles / Bound / Always You / Hellraisers / What Lil Boys Do / Alone?

If it were just lust, he would understand it.

At first, that's all it was.  A desire to lay claim to the small, lithe, seemingly-fragile being.  But Yugi was anything but fragile.  Hikari were like that.  Slim, delicate builds, gentle eyes (1). . . but underneath that helpless facade lay a strength so great it could bring even the darkest of beings to its knees.

And it had.

In the final battle, it hadn't been the yami who had destroyed the darkness sealed in the puzzle.  It was the hikari.
Yugi, Ryou, and Malik.  After forcing their dark halves into the safety of their soulrooms, they'd allowed their inner light to shine unimpeded.  With this power they had decimated the creature, burning away its pure darkness with their pure light.  When it was all over, their yami were released and the three had collapsed in exhaustion.

It was about then his little "infatuation" started.

The more he thought about it though, the more sense it made.  Yugi and Atem were the sun, he and Ryou were the moon, and Malik and Marik the stars.  It was only natural for the dark side of the moon to desire the warmth brought from the light of the sun.

Heh.

Even better, it appeared that light wanted to do some warming.  Bakura wasn't blind to the little hikari's stares.  Everytime he joined Ryou in his socializing, the spirit could feel Yugi's eyes on him.  Most of the time the Pharaoh's light wasn't even aware he'd been noticed.  When he knew he'd been caught, he'd flush attractively and turn away to hide his embarrassment.  Bakura found that incredibly amusing and though he'd never admit it out loud, adorable.

Unfortunately, there was one major obstacle to him pursuing the little light.  An overprotective former pharaoh for a yami.  Even though the two spirits had reached a truce regarding past behavior, there was no love lost between the two of them.   Bakura knew damn well that should he be caught courting Yugi, the Pharaoh would banish first and ask questions later.

So Bakura had waited.  Biding his time until the perfect opportunity arose and luck seemed to finally be with him.  Ryou was spending the weekend with Malik, Marik was off stalking Jonouchi, the old man had left to visit a friend taking Yugi's mom along with him, and the damn Pharaoh was staying with his High Priest.

Yugi would be alone.

Amethyst eyes blinked lazily as consciousness returned.  Groaning softly, Yugi shook his head to help clear the haze from his mind.  The last thing he remembered before blacking out was the dark tendrils of shadow magic curling around him and-   'Oh shit.'  Purple and black Shadows surrounded him, forming a room of sorts, while more Shadows wrapped around his wrists and ankles, binding him to a rather large bed.  Now even more worried than before, the hikari struggled against his bonds while reaching mentally for his yami.

"Decided to wake up, did we?"

Head snapping in the direction of the voice, Yugi watched as his captor stepped out the shadows.

"Bakura!"

The thief smirked at his captive, "It won't work you know."

"What won't work?!"

Bakura chuckled, pleased that Yugi was no longer afraid.  "Your mindlink.   I've ensured that neither of our other halves can hear us."

Yugi scowled, "Whatever you're planning, Atem-kun's going to be pissed.  I know I already am."

Arching an eyebrow at the captive hikari, Bakura stifled a laugh.  "Calm down, little one.  This has nothing to do with your yami."  Seeing that he had completely baffled his prey, the silver-haired spirit moved in.  Tucking golden bangs behind an ear, the dark spirit breathed softly on the sensitive appendage, enjoying Yugi's conflicted squirming.  "Consider this a game," he purred, licking the shell of Yugi's ear, earning a gasp from the small teen.

"A g-game?"  Yugi gulped nervously.  "Wh-what are the rules?"

Bakura smiled sinfully at the bound teen, "Simple.  I'm going to seduce you."

Yugi squeaked, eyes widening as far as humanly possible.  'He's going to what?!!'

The dark spirit continued on, ignoring the hikari's reaction.  "To win, all you have to do is not react.  No sound and no encouraging movement.  If you succeed, I'll stop and take you home.  But for every reaction you make, I'll go one step further.  Agreed?"

Yugi sighed defeatedly, "I don't suppose I have a choice, do I?"

Bakura grinned, "Not really."

Fixing wide amethyst eyes on his captor, Yugi asked the one question that still plagued him.  "Why?  Why are you doing this?"

The expression on the dark spirit's face became unreadable.  "You wouldn't believe it.  Not now anyway."

"How do you know?!" Yugi snapped, glaring at the taller boy in frustration.

"I just do." Bakura tilted his head in thought.  "But if you lose, I'll tell you."

Yugi scowled.  "I don't lose."

"This time you will, Yugi-Ou(2)."

Suppressing a shiver at the spirit's seductive voice, Yugi kept his expression carefully blank.  This was NOT going to be easy, the ancient thief clearly believed he had the advantage here.  If he could read Yugi's thoughts, he'd KNOW he had it.   His long-time infatuation with the spirit of the ring was about to bite him in the ass.  Or not.  If only he knew WHY the spirit was doing this!  It could change everything!  Still, Bakura had challenged him to a game and Yugi wasn't one to just up and lose, no matter how much he wanted to.

Bakura had one more advantage Yugi was just now discovering.  Apparently, he ENJOYED being tied up.

Dammit.

1 - Yes, this applies to Malik too.  Take a good look at his eyes after Battle City and you'll see what I mean.

2 - No this isn't a typo.  'Ou' is pronounced the same as 'oh'.  It translates to "king".  However, the first way is the proper romanized spelling.  I tried the other way and it drove me nuts.

Disclaimer:  Here we go.   Yu-Gi-Oh and all it's characters are the property of Kazuki Takahashi, Shueisha, Konami, Toei, and unfortunately, 4 Kids Entertainment.  I'm not making any money off of this, I'm just having fun.  Suing me would be largely pointless as I am just a poor college student that works for the school system.
