She stands alone wondering
why her life was falling apart.
All around her people passed by
not noticing the shadow among them.

Suddenly upset she runs from the crowd.
tears stream from her eyes, blinding her
momentarily which causes her to stumble.
'But I won't quit now,' is her only thought.

As she picks herself up she
recalls the spiteful words and the
painful accusations made by those
she thought of friends and family.

"You're no good."
"You never will be."
"Do us a favor and get lost."
"We never wanted you around."
"What a worthless daughter you are."
"You're nothing but a curse to us."

Now picking her way through
thorny plants and trees she
glances down and notices her appearance.
Her clothes are torn from her journey.

As she reaches her destination she looks
down upon the town she once knew.
Steeling herself against the pain to come she walks
toward the precipice with one thought running through her mind.

"I loved you all."

Days later authorities find
her body at the bottom of the cliff
She had died from the
injuries sustained in the fall.

"And tonight we regret to inform that a local teenager, Tea Gardner, has died."
