How could such a thing be kept from me when it involves my most important person?

I know, but I also understand you do not want me to know.
I keep quiet and bite my tongue.
I don't interfere when I hear you leave through the window when the moon is high.
I don't inquire when the maids inform me about bloodstains on your clothes.

I hold you silently on the days after, when you feel terrible for your sins.
No questions, no answers.
Only trust.
