Mako Tsunami vs Weevil Underwood Part 1

I own the Monster card 'Bug Master'.

Mako: I guess you're my opponent, Underwood.

Weevil: I guess so, Tsunami. So what're we waiting for?

Mako: Uhhh, nothin'.

Mako: I move first! I play the Magic card 'A Legendary Ocean' and summon The Legendary Fisherman (1850/1600), in attack mode!

Weevil: What?!? How can you summon a Lv. 5 monster?!?

Mako: Easy. A Legendary Oceon demotes all WATER monsters by 1 level, and raises their ATK and DEF by 200.

Weevil: So why are your Fisherman's stats the same.

Mako: Well, A Legendary Ocean counts as 'Umi'; Magic cards don't affect my monster. Your move!

Weevil: Fine! I set 2 cards face down, followed by Insect Barrier. None of your Insects' can attack!

Mako: I don't have any Insects.

Weevil: We'll see about that! I also summon Petit Moth and Equip it with Cacoon of Evolution (0000/2000). Your move.

Mako: Why does he have a 0 ATK monster in attack mode?

Weevil: I bet you're wondering why I have a 0 ATK monster in attack mode.

Mako: Yeah, but it doesn't matter. Fisherman, attack his Cacoon!

Weevil: I activate DNA Surgery. Now all monsters are Insects, and can't go through my Insect Barrier!

Mako: Your Insect Barrier Magic card doesn't stop my monster; Magic cards don't affect him, remember?

Weevil: Yes, I do. I activate Mystical Space Typhoon! This destroys your Ocean! Now your Fisherman can't attack anymore!

Mako: Rats! Your turn.

Weevil: Thank you. (1 turn on Cacoon.) Now I summon Leghul (0300/0350) in attack mode! This little monster can attack you directly, so I'll attack your Life Points!

Mako: My turn. I play Turtle Oath. Next, I'll sacrifice my Fisherman, and a Great White (1600/1000) from my hand, to summon Crab Turtle (2550/2500) in attack mode!

Weevil: It doesn't matter. Your Crab Turtle is an Insect, thanks to DNA Surgery!

Mako: I know. I set 1 card face down, and end my turn.

Weevil: (2 turns have passed.) I summon another Leghul (0300/0350), but with this one, I play Laser Cannon Armor! This card raises an Insect by 300 ATK and DEF! (Leghul #1: 0600/0650) Now both of my Leghuls will attack!

Mako: My move. I play Pot of Greed! Now, I'll play a little Magic card called Remove Trap! This destroys your DNA Surgery! Now, Crab Turtle, attack Cacoon of Evolution!

Weevil: I draw! Now I sacrifice my 2 Leghuls to summon Bug Master (8/2000/2000).

Mako: Hah! That card's weak!

Weevil: Wrong! Bug Master gets 1/2 ot the ATK and DEF of any monster is or has ever been an Insect, except for itself, but including the cards sacrificed to summon it! (Bug Master 3725/3600) But that's not all. I play Pot of Greed! Good. Now I can play the field card Forest! This raises by bugs by 30% in ATK and DEF! (Bug Master 4843/4680) Now Bug Master, attack his Crab Turtle!

Weevil: Hmph! Have you forgotten about my Insect Barrier? Your monster can't attack!

Mako: Not yet. But now I play THIS!
