Episode XVII

(Rebecca) Hawkins vs Ken, the Duelist of Darkness

Let's see what'll happen. Shadow Ghoul vs Dark Duelist. I own Ken, and all cards with a * after it.

Ken: *walks into the restaraunt* Is Beka Hawkins here?

Beka: That's me!

Ken: I'm your Round 1 opponent.

Beka: Let's duel; I go first.

K-8000 B-8000

Beka: I summon Witch of the Black Forest (1100/1200) in attack mode. Go.

Ken: That's it? I summon Shadow Shredder* (4/1700/1600). Attack her Witch!

K-8000 B-7400

Beka: Now I get a monster from my deck with up to 1500 DEF. I choose Shadow Ghoul (1600/1300). My turn. I summon Sangan (1000/0600) in attack mode.

Ken: My turn. I offer my Shredder and summon Dark Magician Girl (2000/1700). DMG, attack Sangan!

K-8000 B-7400 --> 6400

Beka: Now I can get a monster from my deck with up to 1500 ATK: My Millennium Shield (0000/3000). My turn. *looks over her 8-card hand* I play Pot of Greed. *Draws her hand to 9* Now I play Graceful Charity: Draw 3 and discard 2 *discards Catapult Turtle (1000/2000) and Summoner of Illusions (0900 ATK)* Hmmm... 4 monsters in my grave. I play FINAL DESTINY! First, I discard 5 cards *discards 5 monsters; her hand is down to 3* and obliterate everything in play!

Field: *acts as if a Nueclear Explosion happened, but it clears with no residue... or cards for that matter*

Beka: Now I play Monster Reborn to revive Sangan (1000/0600) and offer it for Shadow Ghoul, who gets 100 extra ATK for every monster in my Graveyard (1600/1300 --> 2500/1300). Also, since Sangan went to the Graveyard, I get a monster from my deck: Cannon Soldier (1400/1300). Now I play Card Destruction (SG: 2500 --> 2600 ATK). *looks at her newly drawn Trap* Phooey! I set 1 card and attack with my Shadow Ghoul!

Ken: I discard Kuriboh (0300/0200) to block my Life Points. My turn. *draws up to 5* She has 0 cards in her hand, so I shouldn't use Card Destruction. BUT Shadow Ghoul won't power up. I set 1 card...

Beka: I activate Re-Draw.* When you set a card, I destroy it and draw 3 cards if it's a Magic Card. *draws 3 cards*

Ken: Drat! I set 1 card in defense mode and end my turn.

Beka: *draws up to 4* I play The Cheerful Coffin. I discard 3 monsters to power up Shadow Ghoul (2600 --> 2900 ATK). Shadow Ghoul, attack! Go.

Ken:*draws to 4* I play Soul Exchange. I offer your Shadow Ghoul to summon Double Teamers* (????/????) This monster has ATK and DEF equal to double the offered monster's ATK and DEF (DT: 5800/2600) Go.

Beka: I play Card of Sanctity. Now we each draw up to 6 in our hands. Next, I'll play Snatch Steal to grab your Double Teamers. Then I'll add Megamorph! (5800 --> 11,600 ATK) Teamers, attack!

K-8000 --> 0000 B-6400

Double Teamers: 11,600 --> 2900 ATK.

Beka: This game's over, Kenny.
