'The Ordinary girl'

I'm just an ordinary girl with wishes, hopes and dreams.

When I look at the stars at night, they smile at me it seems.

I'm just an ordinary girl, I'm really sure that's true.

I'm with my friends through thick and thin, by their side through and

through.

I'm such an ordinary girl my greatest dream is to dance.

To be upon a concert stage, to strut my stuff and prance.

I'm only an ordinary girl with problems like the rest.

No one's life is perfect, and heck even mine's not best!

But am I an ordinary girl that they can do without?

Or would they miss me far too much and soon succumb to doubt?

I think I'm an ordinary girl, despite all that I've done.

I've been through shadows, seen the gods, and danger I've outrun.

An ordinary girl, is that what I want to be?

Maybe I'll stop being normal, and instead just be me.

I'm not an ordinary girl, it's this truth I now know.
