My friend, you never fail to disappoint. I love it, I love every single word of it! It's like stepping into a fully-formed universe, with fleshed out characters you *think* you know, only to have them surprise you. Have I mentioned lately that I love how you write Sesshoumaru? Because hot damn! There was a twist I didn't see coming. LOL, even on opposite sides of the spectrum, you write his encounters with Kagome with this sort of wit and shine of a truly practiced hand. It's because of that sort of spark that I love shipping them together, even though I realize that's far from the case in this story ;) Speaking of which, I love how neatly you have all your disparate storylines tying back into each other. Kagome's arson case is Rin's mystery, and Koga (acting on someone else's orders?) is digging through Inuyasha's past...and I can only think of one case that he'd feel *that* territorial over. That scene was bloody brilliant, the anger and frustration flowing over into animalistic aggression. I could feel the satisfaction Inuyasha took in cracking his fist across Koga's jaw, and not just for checking out his evidence files - for everything that's been eating away at him. You played that scene to absolute perfection, and showed just how well Inuyasha and Koga can be rivals and foils for each other. And, of course, you leave us with another mystery - who is waiting to see him in interrogation, hmmm? The possibilities, they are endless :D Again, I want to thank you for investing your time and talent into this wonderful story, and sharing it with the rest of us - it is *such* a refreshing change from the norm, and your narrative voice makes me want to pick up a hardboiled detective-centered mystery, just so my mine can continue along this fabulous journey you've set us on. Keep up the fabulous work, and I'll do my damndest to actually review in a timely manner, LOL. But this was more than worth waiting for, no doubt about that!

Mmm, mmm, this story is so great each chapter deserves its own review! I loved this ~ every detail felt real and authentic, and in the back of my mind, I couldn't help but wonder if you were drawing on personal experience in your choice of restaurants ;) That place sounds fabulous! I'm really glad you gave Koga such an interesting background, too - too often when he's played against Inuyasha, he is turned into a stereotypical thoughtless jerk or doofus, but to have him actually stand up as a viable contender for Kagome's affections? RAWR! Talk about throwing a wrench in the works. That kiss was hot, too - I loved how, even though Kagome enjoyed it so much on a physical level, her mind was elsewhere...and she recognized that. You're playing with a few of the same themes I am in Fleeting and its really awesome to see how another talented writer walks that same path, what conclusions they draw. Needless to say, I'm *thrilled* that your muse has returned, and I can't wait to click on to the next chapter! :D

Loved it! And it's kind of interesting the way she's going to make Inu work a little harder than a message to get her to hear him out.

I wish I could sum up with fancy words just how bloody brilliant you are, but I think you've gone past way them. I don't know how you do it, but you make writing look easy. You have the super power to drive your writing smoothly across a plot-pothole road, and yet still thrill readers as if they went on a roller coaster. You bring detail to the plate, but not enough that it makes people think your screwing the topic till its pink in the face. What's best is the fact that I know the characters like if they were real people. Almost more so than Rumiko has made them. They have stopped being fictional to me since day one. For example, I now know what is included to concoct the perfect dosage of coffee for Koga in the morning. The little tidbits really bring out the character and shines your story brighter than the cheeks of man who drank a soothing hot chocolate in Alaska during winter. I love the twitch in my pointer finger that taps the arrow scroll button even though it's been six hours after I read your update. I love how I want to re-read this over and over from the very beginning- which for me is never a waster of eight hours. I love how you got me craving more than a pregnant woman locked in a room full nutella and rice bubbles. And I love that the action, drama and suspense doesn't eat me alive or maybe it still is but I'm so numb and too busy straining my eyeball muscles to care. Not that I'm lazy or anything but imagining comes second nature when you read this fiction. My eyes are doing the work but at the same time your really telling the story to my brain. I can see the coffee room, smell the testosterone on skin and dismal weather outside 29th division + Kagome's apartment, see the stubble growing on InuYasha's chin as well as knowing the traces of food he might have eaten from the spots on his clothing. It seems so tangible that the world I live in seems like the bogus one. It's clear to me that you have done research too. It paints a backdrop on everyday life. Readers don't have dream that they are in that world because that pretty much is it. You have a good reality grip on crisis and pain. Sometimes this can be over dramatized or commercial -what were told to think men or woman react and feel in certain situations- however yours is true as the rain in Cardiff. Your language catches an updraft on your wings and you are able to take other with you rather than leaving them behind confused. I know you will deny this but I believe this is almost at the extent of publish-worthy in the future. It's certainly my favorite fan fiction ever -no joke-and better than most author works I've read recently. And I don't just say that. I may be a wannabe writer, but I'm a tough critic to please. I'm picky when it comes down to what I read so please know I'm not trying to get in your good list, but of course that wouldn't hurt lol. You rock my boyfriend's kickers off, but lucky I was there to catch them heheheh. I would love it if you could be my beta. Would you? Could you? Should you? Hahaha. I'd understand if you couldn't. You could repay me with a chapter and no hard feelings (grin). I've experienced a lot of great things but yours has been the best since InuYasha nad-showing porn. That's been in the running for a loooong time (tee-hee!) so congrats. Always your perverted No.1 fan (I claim it or dual for it otherwise)…

Here's a facsimile of my reaction to getting this update notice in my inbox this morning: o.O O.O :D :D :D LOL, talk about a wonderful surprise! I was going to try to hold off reading until I'd finished my work, but it was far too tempting. I dove in, and I don't regret it one bit :) How long has this story been on hiatus? Because I didn't feel a bit of it. It was so easy to slip back into this universe you've created, let it cloak you with its intriguing darkness. As far as transition chapters go, this was one of the best ~ you've set up the possibilities for two storylines with main characters/romances, and then all these little threads dangling at the end (the arson story, for example), which could or couldn't shoot off into side stories of their own. How much did I love the fact that you started off with Sesshoumaru, too? Ooooh, I just adore the way you write him!! And I love the little twist you've given his part of the story, now that he's becoming a main player. What was Rin doing in that skanky dive? Hmmm - inquiring minds want to know! =) And I just love, love, love the way you're handling the Koga/Kagome/Inuyasha triangle. You've made Koga sympathetic in his lechery, because we can see the dual reasons he's making his move. He wants Kagome, yeah, but he also understands the dynamic between her and Inuyasha, and is purposefully showing his cards. It's an interesting way to play matchmaker, that's for damn sure, but somehow, it's in keeping with his flippantly confident character. My favorite line of the chapter was probably, "if this was all a figment of your imagination I wouldn't be the one standing here with you." ~ it just struck me right in the gut, you know? He's a good guy :) I really liked the imagery of Kagome alone in her apartment, listening to the rain tap on her windows. It really drives home just how much the horror with Naraku has changed her, and maybe not for the better. I'm interested to see how she recovers from this, especially if Inuyasha continues to be such a stubborn mule. *sigh* This was really, really wonderful, and so very much worth the wait!! I hope the next chapter isn't as long in coming, but then - when its this good, I can't complain :D

Girl, I don't know how you keep this story for completely eating your brain! Wow. I just had another read through of the entire thing and it's absolutely mesmerizing! "The Titan Falls" had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I love that Kagome's keeper had a chance to come back and 'avenge' her, even if he paid for it with his life. You made him sympathetic, even though he was scum - fabulous character development all around :) It's been a few months since the last update, but I sense you're starting a new arc, focusing on this 'golden bullet' mystery and now Kagura wanting revenge(?) on Sesshoumaru, not to mention having Kagome's and Inuyasha's relationship in tatters. I look forward to whatever else you're cooking up for us, and just have to say this is, hands down, one of the best fics I've ever read. You'll have my undying, cheerleading support til the bitter end, no matter how long it takes to get there.

Well, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your story. I loved the plot twists. As usual I'm upset at Inuyasha for being a baka. It certainly wasn't Kagome's fault that Kikyo was killed. It was Naraku's fault. But still the guilt overrides everything sometimes... And Inuyasha still feels guilty about not getting there in time. I'm betting that Inuyasha is going to give up on Kags for a while, which will mean Koga will sweep on in. Maybe in a fit of jealously Iunyasha might finally figure out what he wants and needs. I can only hope. Well, please give us a happy ending! Oh and one more prediction. Kagura has the gun with the gold bullets...right?
