That was good. I liked how it fit with the cannon of the magna. I thought you did a great job with Poe's poem, and now I have a better understanding of the poem. Thank you! Poetry and I don't get along--even though I'm a fan of Poe's work. One of my favorite peices--no matter how morbid it is---is Anabell Lee. Until your next story, Chanda

Way to show Inuyasha disappointing everyone's expectations. =D Really, how can people believe he's an idiot if he managed to survive on his own all this time? Insensitive maybe, but that probably has something to do with a lack of socialization. The phrase "brutally honest" comes to mind... I enjoyed your insightful interpretation of what his choice really consists of. Thanks!

Very nice. I really enjoyed how you made all the pieces of the poem fit the situation. And I loved the interaction between the characters, particularly Inuyasha and Kagome at the end (of course, lol). But, I also enjyed the interaction between the entire group during Kagome's reading. The relationship dynamics there are fascinating, too. Even Inuyasha's friends sometimes write him off as simpleminded, and that's sad. It's not COMPLETELY their fault, though. Inuyasha has done a lot of grumbling and criticizing about things Kagome does...so it's not surprising that they've come to expect the worst of him. There are mistakes on both sides. The characterization here overall was really good.

Wonderful! I have always loved this poem! You were great at describing the picture and the whole thing was like watching an episode in my head. It was a true delight to read. Thank you for sharing your work and reminding me of this great poem.

Grrrr....i've been trying to read this since last night. Anyway yes it was total Poeness and awsomeness and i loved it. That was the BEST Inuyasha/Poe mix EVER!!! ...quite possibly the only InuYasha/Poae mix ever... It's still the best! your voice shone through crystal clear! I hope you make more of these poemfics. they ROCK BUTT!!! that was so lame... my comment-not the poemfic.

What a treat! Nice little surprise and very well done. Inuyasha's insights were nicely phrased, but didn't make him seem completely OOC. I like that he concluded what the flower dude meant on his own. The couple of paragraphs immediately after the end of the poem had a lovely flow and almost seemed a continuation of it. Very nicely done!

that was like the best ever the way you tied it all togethher with all the charecters staying in charecter i notist the simpsons line right away nice tuch that episode was he first time i heard the raven and now edger allen poe is my favert poem i think you coud do a inuyashia with tell tale heart ope to see some poems as good as this in th future

Ah! What a perfectly lovely salute to timeless poem, at a time of year when everyone can appreciate it. This was much, much better than most of the songfics/poemsfics I've read, as you used the poem as a springboard for the story, instead of the staple of it. This whole concept is so ingenious, I must confess I am completely GREEN with envy. Inuyasha's statment at the end to kagome, that the choice was never between the two women, -- but between living a life he felt he didn't deserve and dying as atonement for his guilty feelings. Oh, how I wish that were the case in the manga. LOL!! You don't mind if I send this to Takahashi-san, do you? Maybe, ... just maybe, she'd see that this is the way it SHOULD be. Lovely, lovely, lovely! And having said all that, I also have to confess that my very favorite part of the whole story was when Inuyasha said, "You know what would have been scarier than nothing?" "Anything!" Brilliant! Thanks for the Halloween treat!
