This is very brief, touching, and sweet. A bit of what you were describing in their relationship made its way into the style you wrote in, the pace and flow you chose (or perhaps it was portrayed all the better because of it). It all wrapped rather well together.

I simply cannot stop reading this one-shot. The way you describe their coupling and their relationship is so real and human. This is truly a beautiful one-shot, and I love how you leave it open to the readers' imagination to fill in all the blanks you left: such as how they ended up in a relationship, how their first true meeting went, how long their relationship had been going on for. Truly, it was a pleasure to read.

That was amazing. A tiny little fangirl part of me wants to beg you to continue it, even though I know in my head that it's best as it is--a snapshot, as it were. It's incredible--every time I read one of your Hiei/Kags, it's like it's brand new. Somehow it's unique every time, and THIS time it's so...I think the word I want might be raw. I love the way you described Kagome as seen from a completely outside perspective...like the proverbial fly on the wall. And the idea of Hiei giving her what he can is a sort of dagger-to-the-heart idea, at least to me. No, it's better this way, really. If you spun it out and made it a happy ending, it would ruin that poignancy for me, and if it wasn't so happy, I wouldn't like that either. Hooray for your excellent artistic judgement!

I'm still awestruck that my picture was able to inspire you to write this piece. I love the raw emotion that possesses the both of them and overwhelms the rest of the world. The paragraph about how he was a thief that took everything she had to give, because he was empty, was particularly touching. And in some ways it makes my heart ache because we know it's true. Even though these are fictional characters you have a talent of bringing them to life and making your readers feel for them. Truly, this is one of the better scenes I've read in a very long time and I can only hope that you'll continue to write scenes like this. Thank you for letting me draw the scene out, and for liking it enough to bring it to life as you have done.
