I like the idea of the 2nd fic where kenshin is a slave. You're a great writer and i love the way you write about stuff like this *sniff sniff* it's so sad!!!

This is a great fic. I like the way you've taken Kenshin and displayed his thoughts... Kaoru too. You've done a great job creating a vision of what's going on ^^ I thought Battousai should be less callous and more of a grim type... I'm not sure if he would smile when he was in battle... technically, he was an assassin who SOMETIMES went into battle after ya know Tomoe died... Except that's in the original Samurai X story...heh. Also, the change from Battousai to Kenshin was bit abrupt I think... I would probably have tried to draw it out a little longer, a LITTLE longer... I'm sure Battousai would not let people in so easily. He was a slave in this one so he was obviously raised to do as he was told... It's quite the contridiction, eh? Being submissive while being feared and strong. Anyways, these fourteen chapters were enjoyable and I hope you continue to write more. And with that, good-bye.

Hi, I'm not sure if your request is something I should answer only because I suck at themes & symbolism. I'm not sure what you are looking for. I enjoy this story and the feeling you write about comes through to the reader. And if you are talking about the chapter titles being tied into the chapter then yes they are. I especially noticed it in this chapter. I feel things are not going to be pretty in the chapter to come and I believe you did a good job of foreshadowing that with Kaoru.
