Great fic and great way of making it a unique crossover, more like a fusion so far. Please, if you really want to take the Ranma factor seriously, give Ranma access to the full list of Yamasenken and Umisenken techniques, in an alchemical way or not. Frankly I can tell that there's going to be some major conflict between Ranma and Genma when they next meet up, and I actually like that fact. Is there any possibility of there being an Edward and Alphonse in this story? I sincerely hope so, though if they're not in here, then that is fine as well, but I just think it would be extremely entertaining to see how Ranma would interact with Edward, so...
