Let's go down the hit list, shall we?
We have love, hate, obsession, betrayal, jealosy, insanity, murder, and necrophilia. Did I miss anything?
Basic synopsis is that Shinji and Rei get married. Rei dies during the birth of their daughter. Shinji is having sex with Rei's souless body. After several years pass, Shinji kills his daughter to bring Rei back. Auksa kills Rei. Shinji tries to kill Auska as a result, but, in a move of self defense, Auska manages to kill Shinji. Auska tries to kill herself, but is saved by Misato. During Auska's near death experiance, she sees Rei, Shinji, and their daughter as a happy family in Heaven.
Now that we know this, I wish to point out a little or big problem with this fic. First of all, "Thou Shall *NOT* commit murder". This may be my opinion, but I'm under the impression that if you kill ANYONE, God does not let you into Heaven. You would go straight to Hell.
I'm not sure what inspired this fic. It was way too dark, angsty, and morbid for my tastes. I have to agree with TommyRude and Lord Deathscyth, this fic should be banned from the internet. Don't read this fic unless you want to be permanently scarred. This is quite a shame though as this author's other work on this archive, So Happy Together, is actually quite good.
I cannot really give this fic a proper rating. If this kind of thing is your cup of tea, then by all mean have at it. Personally, I hated it.

Like most ppl, I've been caught by real life... but it didn't alter my otaku's hunger =)
Hmmm... I never had the occasion of reviewing this (in ?)famous fic... which thing I'm going to fix now.
You (and some "great" reviewers) will notice it, my rating seems random, I agree... But to be honest, I've never been fond of lotery, so here the "why" :
- Your style of writing is off course unmistakable... as usual, it hits our eyes (I do hear some complains thought ;p); Sp & Grammar, well can I say more...
- For the creativity... some ppl will agree, well... very angsty... but so realistic, given the darkness of EOE (shudders). Having the nerve to blurt it on paper (or txt files ^_~)... Well, if you were a guy, I will praise you as the new Lord Ironballs *laughs* (no offense Kim, all in pure fun ^_^)
- For the last ratings... Like I said so often, I like giving positive feedbacks to authors... it doesn't mean I'm ready about kissing @$$es (*cringes* Sorry... me and my big mouth). So I admit frankly, yes, that fic made me feel... uneasy.
My general opinion about "Obsession" : to let the choice to the readers...

nas kim is a pleasure to know that you have anpther site to post your fics besides ff.net, I'm glad because i got the chance to read Obsession again [i only readit once before it got deleted] , when i read it the first time i knew it was a interesting story , now after the third time i think i was wrong : IT IS A GREAT STORY ,
so dark , so odd ,so good i really liked it. keep the work kimberly.
p.s.: it seems that Tommy and cia [Isamu, Lord Deathscythe -and the darkyscbrives and the yaccusha-] ,are over here too [too bad] there are people [like Tommy] that is best to ignore.

Whoa, that was written well, but DAMN that was dark. And, ugly gross ish too. Very original, but just a tad too dark for my liking. Nonetheless, keep up the good work.
To everyone who rated this fic poorly, writings like this are not for everyone. But they are artistic nonetheless. It shocks you, it apalls you, but at the very least it is done WELL. I've noticed you had some negative commentary about this fic. IMHO such people are rather short sighted and failed to see the true genius of this rather mind blowing masterpiece. Just for the information of the critics that gave this one a negative review, there were a few instances in the series and especially EOE that insinuated a rather hush hush Rei/Gendo relationship that was not exactly on the level.
I often wondered what would have happened if Shinji somehow turned out to be just like Gendo... or worse. Case and point, I started thinking about that after it was mentioned by the character Tzadkiel in "Evangelon: The Tribulations After". This utter nightmearish figure termed "The Second Commander" who is of course Shinji Ikari was just that... a self absorbed, sceaming and obsessive man who would stop at aboslutely nothing to get what he desires most. The same as his father in many ways acutally turned out worse.
This was definatly a dark story, with a lot of brooding parts and utter psycological terror that clearly defines what happens when a man's sanity is completely and utterly shattered by inconceivable circumstance. I have always had a facination with darkness and evil so this was right up my alley in a manner of speaking. (This is also the longest review I ever wrote)
The end of the story came as a total shock to me. If you haven't read this one yet, give it a try. Sure you may think like the other less far-sighted reviewers that negatively attacked this fanfic for its implied child sexual abuse/ molestation, child abuse and utter madness. But if you read into it... really read into it... none of the events hinted upon conserning the defiling of a child are explained in detail... very tastefully done by the author. Thus I do not believe it belongs under the "Hentai" catagory.
To say that you (the author) could possibly be the next Steven King would not properly describe the shear level of talent you possess. You have the potential to be so much better than even some of the greats of our time and times past.
In short this is by far the best fanfic I have read to date. I'll be searching for more of your works here. Let me know via email if you have other writings on other sites besides this one. Arigato for a great reading experience. Like some of the others I have given positive ratings, I'll probably come back every so often to see other ratings and re-read this masterpiece. ^_^
One thing before I go... Since I just reciently saw the new version of "The Time Machine" I can't help but quote a line from it said by Jeromy Irons that seems to underscore Shinji in this story. With the quote I leave you. Thanks again for an enjoyable read.

This IS a very sickening story... but then, so was "Requiem for a Dream." That didn't stop Requiem from being a total emotional rollercoaster, and neither did it stop Obsession from being one.

WHAT THE HELL?
This fic is NOT a Darkfic! A darkfic deal with horror and adult themes, i agree, but your use of such themes is totally gratious, illogical and a proof of bad taste.
And the ending... it tranform an absolutly horrible and stupid succession of immorality (which can be at least 'appreciate' by some really 'Dark' people i know) in a ridiculous pseudo-biblical salvation. It's pathetic: Suicide and Necrophilia allow you to go to paradise? My god! Another braindead fangirl who believe that putting her mor afwul fantasy in a story between her two favorite characters is a good idea...
Go read "Stigma" by J. Austin Wilde or "Wicked Garden" by Twoflower and you will see a real darkfic.
Your so-called darkfic is just... a parody of darkfic. And not a good one.
And worse, this... this 'sickofic' is totally immoral.
