Biography:Hello everyone, I'm Kikyophobia. I'm fifteen years old, and a female. (I'm totally proud of it.) I currently live in the "sunny" (yeah right) state of Florida. This being so, I've been to more theme parks than I can count on two hands. I'm a thrill seeker. That's one of the many advantages to living in Florida. We also have great beaches. It really is a shame that I hate the beach. ^_^ The bad thing is, though, that we get at least two hurricanes every year.

Oh well. Anyway, I have light brown hair and hazel eyes. Actually, my eyes often change colors on me. Some days they're brown, and some days they're green. But, on average, they're hazel. I'm pretty short too. I'm only like 5 foot 2 inches. Maybe I'll grow one day, though I doubt it.
As for hobbies, I like writing (obviously), drawing, singing, dancing, reading, riding my bike, watching InuYasha, etc.

I'm completely and utterly obsessed with InuYasha. I can't get enough of it. Go on, paint a mental picture. This is my room: I have four walls, all of which are covered with pictures, posters, and wallscrolls of the series. I also have two closests, which both have wallscrolls hanging over them. On my ceiling, I have a shrine deticated to my InuYasha and Kagome fangirlness. My dresser-mirror is stacked with all of the mangas. I also have actions figures placed all around it. On the wall next to it, I have my InuYasha calendar. Now, the tiny space where my TV is is where I have my human InuYasha shrine. He's just so pretty! On my dresser, I have my collection of about a million InuYasha DVDs. I've got the whole series! Lastly, my bed has a ton of cute InuYasha character plushies scattered across it. It also has several InuYasha pillows, and an InuYasha blanket. And, in the corner, where I put my school stuff, is my InuYasha backpack which is covered with pins and keychains.

Moving on, I'm a total supporter of InuYasha and Kagome, as you might have observed. They're just my favorite couple in all of anime. If there's one thing I hate, it's all of the Kagome bashing going around. It's just silly. Frankly, so is the Kikyo bashing. I know, my name probably makes it seem like I hate Kikyo, but I don't. She may not be my favorite character, but I certainly don't hate her. She plays a very important role in the series.

Oh! I've got to tell you the story of how I came up with my pen name! Well, about five years ago, my sister showed me InuYasha for the first time. It was the episode where Kikyo was first revived by Urasue (sp?). To be honest, because I was ten, Kikyo scared the hell out of me. She just was so creepy. This, of course, was my observation back then. Anyway, after that, I could not sleep or even go back to my room. I was afraid that Kikyo would jump out of nowhere and "get me". Lol! My pen name is just drawing off of that past experience.

Well, while I'm on the subject of Kikyo, I'll share with you a little essay I wrote about Kagome and InuYasha vs. Kikyo and InuYasha.

InuYasha and Kagome or InuYasha and Kikyo; that's a thriving question, isn't it? In fact, when dealing with your favorite couples from the series, it's probably one of the biggest issues there is. And, our opinions often seem to come from our general liking of either Kagome or Kikyo. Bias is always a factor. If you love Kikyo and hate Kagome, then you probably want InuYasha to be with Kikyo. If you love Kagome and hate Kikyo, then you probably want InuYasha to be with Kagome. Then, of course, there are a select few of us that either love them both or hate them both. Those who don't like either usually wish for InuYasha to be alone or hope for some alternate pairing. Those who like them both EQUALLY (I cannot stress that enough.) obviously have a less bias opinion, and generally, but not always, have a valid reason for prefering one couple over the other. I don't like them both equally, and though I might try, I understand that it's impossible for me to have an unbiased opinion.

I've tried very hard to comprehend why some people prefer InuYasha with Kikyo. I made myself watch episodes 147 and 148 again so that, maybe, I could relate to those people a little more. I came to the conclusion that those who support InuYasha and Kikyo probably see their relationship as...beautiful. There were less conflicts and, let's face it, it was moving somewhere, and I can understand why people might prefer that over InuYasha and Kagome's relationship, and I respect that even though I don't agree.

Personally, I find that relationships with more problems are just more interesting to watch develop. I also like that fact that InuYasha and Kagome fight a lot because that's what most couples in the real world do. That's what I think makes them more believable. What InuYasha and Kikyo had was almost...fantasy-like; it wasn't as realistic. (Honestly, I don't mean that in a bad way.) I also like the angle of InuYasha and Kagome's relationship better. I do, however, understand why people would like the angle of InuYasha and Kikyo's. It's kinda like a "forbidden love" type thing, him being a hanyou and her being a miko. However, I find that Kagome being the reincarnation of InuYasha's first love is a little more interesting. It makes it harder for InuYasha to truely let her in, especially after what happened with Kikyo.

I believe this explains why InuYasha and Kagome's relationship is moving so slowly. It's all a matter of fear. InuYasha was rejected his entire life, and the one time he was shown kindness, it backfired on him. Why would he just rush into another relationship after enduring that? He wouldn't. Despite what he might show, InuYasha is really insecure. I think it's great how Kagome is teaching him, not only to trust again, but to love again, to slowly let go of those insecurities. To me, that's what makes their relationship special, and that's why I want them to be together. It's not because I don't like Kikyo, though I won't deny that that may have been an unintentional influence. It's also not because I'm ignorant and don't understand relationships. After watching episodes 147 and 148 again, I think I got a better idea of what InuYasha and Kikyo had and I respect them, but I still don't support them. That's just my opinion, of course, on that aspect of the series.
