They're pretty much the basics. I obviously love to write creatively, especially fantasy- it's my way of getting rid of all the dreams inside my mind :) Writing is the ultimate form of expression, which is why I always have a shabby, grey notebook that goes with me everywhere for random notes on landscape, people, idle reflections. That notepad is brimming with my thoughts and sketches because I love to draw, as well :)
My favourite books include 'The Bloody Chamber' by Angela Carter, 'The Mists of Avalon' by Marion Zimmer Bradley, 'Tales of the Otori' by Lian Hearn, 'Raise the Red Lantern' by Su Tong, 'The Girl Who Played Go' by Shan Sa 'Howl's Moving Castle' by Dianne Wynne Jones etc. Right now, I have a lot of stories that I might upload when I have more courage :) Send me some, people!

My one, complete obsession could be manga and anime! Also, the entire Oriental culture intrigues me- literature, language, art, history, customs, calligraphy etc.- so that should describe a lot about my general interests. There are also Oriental films that have influenced my writing style like Raise the Red Lantern, In the Mood For Love, House of Flying Daggers, Farewell My Concubine: anyone with a love of world cinema must see these films!
And, lastly, there's music. My favourite artist has to be Tori Amos, as I love her style and alternative touch with songs like Blood Roses, Precious Things, Gold Dust, Caught a Light Sneeze, Cornflake Girl and Raspberry Swirl. The other artists I tend to stick on my radio the most are: A Perfect Circle, Porcupine Tree, Within Temptation, Darling Violetta, Namie Amuro, Ayumi Hamisaki, Apocalyptica, Bjork, Faye Wong, Jack Off Jill, Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell, Jewel, Muse, the Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Sarah McLachlan, Yeah Yeah Yeah, the Smashing Pumpkins, Ludovico Einaudi... I could go on :)
Other random interests include drawing, daydreaming, sleeping for at least 48 hours at a time, hugging trees, standing stones (anything related to Celtic history), nature in general esp. storms and woods and the Lake District, laughing hysterically, going to the theatre, hiking, myths and weird things, running round Camden and Londinium with Lily, being weird, spontaneous and random with Charlotte, vivid eyeshadows, drinking Jack Daniels and Pims, lying in the dark with my sister in her bedroom having philosophical conversations until three in the morning ^_^
I'm an A Level student currently, studying History, English Literature, Sociology and Religious Studies, and I hope to obtain a degree in English or History in the future *fingers crossed* :)
