-Out of all the fanfictions I have ever read for Fushigi Yugi, one titled "Only Time" is the very best. It's by an authoress called J. Marie, who, as far as I know, is not on this fanfiction site. Now, I've never been into shounen-ai, or yaoi, not that it bothers me exactly, I just don't prefer it. But in the fic "Only Time" it fits perfectly. I reccomend this fanfiction to anyone who has read Fushigi Yugi, who is open-minded and mature and has watched all of the Fushigi Yugi anime, not read the manga. Read it, see what you think, it's long, with a prologue, 32 chapters and an epilogue, but it always reminds me of one of the last scenes in the FY tv series. Where Miaka says that the Universe of the Four Gods is the best book she has ever read-think of "Only Time" as that heart-wrenching, at least for me. --I've also decided to list a few of my favorite anime/mangas: Fushigi Yugi, Ayashi No Ceres, Alice 19th, Inu-Yasha, MeruPuri... (As you can probably see, I love the "girl goes to other world" type stories, like FY, IY and MP. But Yu Watase is my favorite and I love all of her works, including Imadoki! Nowadays and Absolute Boyfriend. I think she does the darker side of life better though, so Ceres and Alice 19th are pretty much always gonna be my favorites of hers, maybe one day I can write fics for them too! ) |
