That's about it. I'm not interesting, and currently have no boyfriend. I live through my writing, as pathetic as that sounds. I make no promises about my stories. I will write as it comes to me. I really like my new story Miracle Dispenser and I hope to actually finish that one.
Story status:
*Doctor, Doctor, I'm Love Sick for You: I liked the story line. I actually developed it so I could have Kagome say this one line at the end... I don’t know if you'll ever find out. It's intended to be a short one. Three to five chapters. On hold until I feel like updating it.
*Way Back When: I had big plans for this, but... women plan; God laughs. I could still write the whole story out, but it would be forced. So now I'm trying to steer it into something with a bit of culture that my limited recourses can find. It may not be entirely accurate, and may even have some stereotypes in there. I apologize not for offending anyone. I keep beating myself over the head when I try to write the next chapter. My writing style has changed so much. Do you know I've rewritten it five times? Tried five different ways of approaching it? So it's on hold until I finish up some other stories and can put the time and research into it that the Native American culture deserves.
*Of All the Things: Currently under major revamp. During boring moments, I refine Takara's character and look for a better name. It's now mostly a romance between my OC and Koga. Probably not something someone would read, but it's like a nice daydream. I promise to have Kagome and Inuyasha in there. And Sesshomaru. Can't forget Sesshomaru. But it's on hold, and I don't know if I'll ever get it done.
*I'm the Boss: A Lemon I wrote because I was tired of looking for good lemons and not finding too many.I don't think it's bad. I will in no way turn it into a story, though. Nor will there be a sequel. But I will do another one-shot if I feel like it. I can handle the commitment of a one-shot.
*Miracle Dispenser: My current baby. I know where this plot is going for another fifteen chapters. But in some spots, I don't know how to get it there. I originally wanted it to have a kind of journal feel, but I really don't like reading stories that are written as if in a journal. I am going to keep it in the first person present tense for the whole story. Mostly because I like the challenge, and some because I just like that style. It's like being in their head with them. One of my readers compared it to being like a radio show. Anyway, this is the one I will be concentrating on, until my muse abandons it--I mean takes a break. Yeah.
Future Ideas
*(No Title): The summary isn't written, but I'll tell you what the story is about. Kagome is an indentured servent in the 16th century America. She lives with, and is employed by, the carpenter of a town in Massachusetts. (Made up town. It probably didn't exist.) With him lives his daughter and wife. Kagome is prett badly abused, and kept under strict religious constraints while the daughter, Kikyo (because I just had to make her the evil one), cavorts like a harlot. One night, Kagome gets a night visitor. He comes at night, and when Kagome is reluctant to be seduced--fearing moral and spiritual corruption due to the influence of her employer's shrewish wife--he begins the longer task of winning her trust. This night visitor, Inuyasha, can only see her at night, when he can escape from his duties that he keeps Kagome in the dark about. When the Salem witch trials become an uproar, and Kikyo leads the town's own little band of afflicted, Kagome is curious to know if the spirits visiting them are anything like Inuyasha--whome she thinks is a spirit for a great deal of the story. Kagome talks to Kikyo, and Kikyo--fearing exposure--accuses Kagome of witch craft.... That's as far as I have. It probably won't be more than fifteen chapters. I don't know when I'll be able to write it, but if anyone wants to just send me a chapter or two and I might hand the story over to you. |
