Biography:Hello my friends in the fanfiction community...

In case you are wondering why the story 'Rider on a Pale Horse' was pulled, here are the reasons:

I loved writing this story, please believe that. I loved the creation of the story itself, but I also loved the community, the friendship that the act of writing this story seemed to inspire. I enjoyed immensely the give and take between author and reviewer.

Things went smoothly for the first several months, about 25 chapters into the story. After this mark, though, things began to change for several reasons.

First, it was around this time that I hurt my wrist, quite severely - a healing that would take several months before my wrist was anywhere near the condition it used to be in. My wrist is fine now, but because of my injury, my updating went from approximately once a week to once every 4-5 months. Considering that 'Rider' was a long, involved story that was not even close to complete, I can understand the frustration that this change evoked.

The second thing that happened was the emphasis in my story shifted so that my story began exploring my Original Characters more than Canon Characters.

Though I might not have had every detail decided, I did have a framework - an outline - for the story in my head since before I decided to post it. It was always in the outline that towards the end of the first half of the story, a chunk of time would be concentrated on my OC's lives, so that the reader would care about what would happen to them in the second half of the story.

Maybe this outline would have worked if I had been able to stick to the once a week updating. Instead, we ended up with my whenever updating, so that when the updates did finally occur, it was yet another chapter about my OC.

So, things started to get a little nasty. Either in reviews or by email, some people would become insulting and vile. I was called names, people would berate my writing and my characters, telling me I was using 'Mary Sues', saying I must be a pathetic person to have to put myself in a story.

While this extreme behavior was in the minority, it was still incredibly upsetting when I received it.You don't expect to get attacked for writing a story. Beyond these jerks, there were the people who reviewed, and while not overtly nasty, their message was, 'Your story direction is bad, change it to how I want it.'

You could argue that it was partly my fault for putting in a story that had an OC as such a large part of the story. My response to that would be this - Are you paying me for my time in writing this story? 'Rider' was 200 pages long as of the last published chapter. Do you have any clue how much time that took out of my life? All I was trying to do was tell an original story, and tell it well. Don't like OC's? Well, on the three sites that I housed my story on, there are a combined total of over 64,000 Inuyasha stories to choose from. It's not like my story was the only story you had the ability to read. I'm also not going to be fake modest. I'm a good writer. I would say my writing ranks in the top 10 percent of fanfiction. There are plenty of worse stories to read than mine.

So, after these events, I admit that my interest waned in posting this story considerably. There was no joy to writing it anymore, no excitement in sharing this creation. When I started changing the story in my head, with the intent of just getting it finished fast with the least amount of negativity from people, well, that was when I knew it was time to pull the story.

I'm sorry to those of you who did like the story and were sticking with me. You made up 90 percent of the reviews. I'm sorry that I essentially let the jerks win by pulling this story. All I can say is that I couldn't have finished it like I wanted to. At best, I would have done a rushed ending just to finish the story, and I think you would have felt cheated with that solution - I know I would have. I thank you all - past and present - who have wished me luck, sent me your good wishes, and have told me how much you enjoyed my writing.

Special thanks goes out to the Inuyasha Fanguild, for honoring this story. The fact that fellow Inuyasha readers and writers - my peers in essence -lauded this story means more to me than you can imagine. Also Sabichan, my evil triplet, who is not only an awesome fanfiction writer, but a writer of stories and poems of such beauty and delicacy that I can't believe she isn't published. Finally, Drake220, who did me the honor of inhabiting my universe and putting her own indelible stamp on it. With your words, you made me cry in happiness.

As for me, I shall continue to write, though never again anything in the same vein as 'Rider'.
