| Biography: | Well, I finally finished my first novel. It's been a long year of planning, writing, proofing and polishing, but I'm satisfied with the end result. 185 pages, 80,000 words and all the characterization, suspenseful plotting and action I could reasonably fit. I'm so proud of myself for accomplishing this feat.
Now comes the hard part: marketing it. Self-publication is out of the question because only close friends and family will ever see it, so I need to find an agent and convince them that my work is worth putting in stores. I know it will be difficult and may take years, but I do not care. I see now that the world of the nine to five rat-race is not for me. I need to create, entertain and educate the masses, just like my heroes do.
I don't care how long it takes or how hard I'll have to push. I will publish this novel and prove to my critics that I have what it takes. Wish me luck.
Oh, by the way, I had to delete all my old stories. That way, we won't have any "conflicts of interest." Sorry; I'm sure you would have enjoyed them. |
