This is not the good Vampire Hunter D movie
This is not the better of the two movies that have been adapted from the amazing Vampire Hunter D books written by Hideyuki Kikuchi. When I first purchased this movie, I thought it would be the best anime movie I would ever watch. It wasn't. It was a horribly adapted film that barely followed the book it had been based off of. But if you like that kind of anime, then go right ahead and buy this thing.
I recommend that you make better use of that money and go buy Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, it is a much better animated and much more believable Vampire Hunter D book-based-movie.

A wonderfully tragic tale
---Spoilers ahead---

This movie, Bloodlust, is one of the most tragic anime movies (in my opinion) the genre has to offer. D, the handsome and stotic dhampire, has lived a long and lonely life, hunting vampires who harm humans. Belonging to both species equally, but accepted by neither, he journeys as a sad vagrant warrior, completing missions but never getting a 'thank you'. Usually finding hatred and contempt wherever he goes, the dark warrior must not only face his own qualms about being a half-breed; he must face other's as well.

This movie was such a beautiful, sad tale; centering on D's new bounty, Meijer Lee, and the woman he has kidnapped, Charlotte. Hired to find this vampire, kill him, and return the woman to her family, D encounters another group of vampire hunters--and a young woman who finds solace in his company.

Please watch this movie! Such a masterful piece like this deserves some appreciation.
