Things seems to be set in a modern day world, or perhaps slightly futuristic. Raryuu is the first darling to turn up in the story. He's some sort of scientist, working to revive a strange, beautiful girl with mismatched eyes named Tourunniya. I'm not sure what she is, but she's not exactly your normal human being. Raryuu doesn't seem to care, though, and is very fond of her. Once she's revived, he spends plenty of time with her, taking care of her, teaching her everything he can, protecting her from the more demanding scientists.. right up until the end of the first story, where the whole world seems to fall apart around them. And even then he keeps her close to him until the very end.
