Battle Gear... ON!
Masami Kurumada steps back into the action mold with B't X, a classic, formulaic shounen anime loaded with a burning-sense-of-justice-boy lead, gobs of creative mecha, and of course, screaming out the names of one's attacks.

Takamiya Teppei, along with super-intelligent living machine (or B't, pronounced like "beat") X, tackle the omnipotent Machine Empire head-on after Teppei's brother Kotaro is kidnapped for the Empire's nefarious schemes.

While the plot gets a smidge convoluted at times, and there are episodes that you just wish didn't exist, B't X is solid, entertaining, and worth watching for all fans of traditional shounen work.
