Title: 1st Year At Hogwarts
By: Yume Li

Disclaimer: I do not own Cardcaptor Sakura, Harry Potter, or Sailor Moon.

Note: All incantations would be in Japanese, except for the Chinese incantations and Hogwarts's spells. When the CCS gang communicated with each other, it will be in Japanese unless otherwise stated. By the way, the famous Li Clan had pictures of Clow Reed hanging on the walls. Surnames began first in Asia, while in Western countries they began last. This story will follow as closely as Harry Potter book five as possible. All CCS gang had turned thirteen during their stay at Eriol’s house. Serena and Travis remained fifteen. Sakura and Syaoran always talked using their mind-link when they are alone, so did Serena and Travis.

Summary: The CCS gang and SM gang will meet the HP gang on the train to Hogwarts.

Story: Li Syaoran and his cousin Li Meiling had gone back to Hong Kong for 3 days already. Before they went back, they taught Kinomoto Sakura how to fight in armed and unarmed combat. Sakura decided to train hard in magic, swordsmanship, and martial arts. Harry Potter and company would be in the 5th year, along with some of the new transfer students. Touya's sixth sense had returned to him since Sakura had become stronger. The Kinomoto men also knew everything about the cards and about Eriol Hiiragizawa and the fact that Fujitaka Kinomoto was half of the reincarnation of Clow Reed. The story will follow as closely to the Harry Potter Book 5 as possible. For those who did not read Sailor Moon Universal, Travis Watson was Serena’s younger twin. He was also Sailor Sol and Sailor New Moon. Serena was Sailor Sun and Darien was Sailor Earth.

Summary of last chapter: The Gryffindors and Ravenclaws were attending Touya and Fuutie’s class, while the Slytherins and Hufflepuffs were attending the moon guardians’ class. At the ending, Li Min was contemplating on matchmaking Draco and Meiling.

An hour later, outside the Potion classroom …

“What do you think of the lesson?” asked Li Min brightly, as she looked at her ruby-eyed cousin and her two good friends. The four Slytherins were currently waiting outside the Potion classroom for the Potion Master’s arrival, along with the other Slytherins.

Draco shrugged his shoulders in an I-don’t-really-care attitude, while Meiling rolled her eyes. Blaise spoke up, “It’s not too bad, I guess.”

“What’s not too bad?” asked Travis curiously, as the rest of the Gryffindors approached the Slytherins.

“The lessons with Professors Tukisiro and Akizuki,” said Draco easily, eyeing the Golden Trio with dislike. Just because he had to put up with them did not mean he had to like them.

Harry and Ron glared at him with the same amount of dislike on their faces. Hermione ignored their antics, while Xiao Min frowned slightly and sighed. She had to find a way to dispel their loathing with each other.

‘Syaoran-kun, maybe we should help…’ thought Sakura uneasily, as she glanced at the three students who were glaring at each other.

‘Maybe. Don’t worry too much, Sakura. I’ll stop them if they suddenly decided to attack each other,’ thought Syaoran comfortingly

The door creaked open and both the Gryffindors and Slytherins went into the dungeon. The Golden Trio sat at the back of the classroom whereas the new students decided to sit somewhere near the front. The three Slytherin outcasts sat with the new students to annoy most of the Slytherins.

At the front, Sakura paired up with Syaoran; Meiling paired up with Xiao Min; Serena paired up with Travis. At the back, Blaise paired up with Draco; Harry paired up with Ron and Hermione.

‘Settle down,’ said Snape coldly, shutting the door behind him.

There was no real need for the call to order; the moment the class had heard the door close, quiet had fallen and all fidgeting stopped. Snape’s mere presence was enough to ensure a class’s silence.

(taken from pg 209 line 20 - 24)

As Snape began to talk about the importance of the OWL and his expectations of his students, Xiao Min began to mind-talk with her father’s spirit.

‘Papa, do you think Uncle Snape will hate us for openly rebelling against Voldemort? He’s Voldemort’s spy-master after all. He will surely tell Voldy about our rebellion,’ thought Xiao Min, depressed, her eyes dulling slightly at the thought of dangers approaching her friends.

The spirit sighed, ‘There’s no use worrying about it. Severus had always been interested in the dark arts and it’s no surprise that he had joined Voldemort. We just have to handle it when it comes. But, why are you calling Voldemort ‘Voldy’?’

The girl shrugged carelessly as she kept an eye on the potion-master, ‘It sounds fun to call him that. Plus it’s too long to keep calling him ‘Voldemort’ or ‘You-know-who’ or ‘He-who-must-not-be-named’. Voldemort also sounds very stupid. Talk to you later, papa. He’s giving us the instruction of making the ‘Draught of Peace’ now. It’s quite complicated to make.’

A few hours later…

To Snape’s displeasure, the new students had done their work quite well and he had nothing to say as he checked on the potions of his students. He bypassed the new students’ potions, glared a bit at Draco and Blaise potions and moved towards Meiling and Xiao Min. He sneered at their potions, even though the potion is perfect. The two Chinese girls ignored him and continued with their work. Snape glowered and went to the back of the dungeon.

Everyone heard as Snape started to degrade Harry. The Slytherins looked to the back, while the new students exchange shock looks among themselves.

“Why is the sensei being so nasty to Harry?” asked Serena, her voice and blue eyes conveying her shock.

Draco replied in an offhanded tone, “It had been that way since first year. Snape hated Potter and vice-versa. No one knows the reason, though.”

“The reason,” begin Xiao Min, as she stressed the word ‘reason’, “is that Snape-sensei hated Harry’s father. He still hates James Potter, even though he’s dead.”

“That still isn’t enough reason…” began Travis, before Blaise cut him off.

“You don’t need a reason to hate people.”

Syaoran nodded his head gravely, “Just like Voldemort don’t need a reason to kill Muggles and wizards alike.”

The conversation was stopped when they heard Snape giving out instructions to bring their potions to his desk for testing.
