Chapter Nine: Enter the Forbidden Forest

The ground underneath them was soft and slippery. Strange notices could be heard as Galumon lead the way:

*****FLASHBACK********

"Yes I know the way to the Forbidden Forest. But why would you want to go there? Very few humans have came out of there alive looking for the legendary garden named Renamon ...."

"Renamon?"

That mane sounded so pear, so powerful so..

"So, what does this Renamon look like?" Kenta asked.

"No one knows. Very few people have seen what she looks like ... I don't even know what she looks like ... and I'm one of the Spirits, imagine that," He laughed "But I'll take you, on one contrition ... I get to have more of your Cream Puffs."

"Of course."

The forest floor was starting to get denser as they followed the spirit deeper into the woods. The wind howled as the trees swayed back and forth sending chills down everyone's spine. Something about the place didn't feel right, danger felt like it was around every corner or in the trees. Galumon briskly walked along singing a song quite loud making the others very nervous.

"Galumon, could you not sing so loud ... you might bring some enemies."

"Oh ... sorry, I didn't know that my singing was that bad."

With no further comments, the party continued, the cold air growing stronger as they got further and further. Ruki looked around her when she saw something yellow and white going from tree to tree. She had a sudden urge to find out what it was, without hesitation she took off running trying to follow. The creature turned her head with a sexy grin on her face when she saw the human girl trying to follow her.

After when seamed like an hour of running Ruki halted. Trying to breathe as the others run up asking why she took off running like all of a sudden.

"I'm sorry. I just saw something and I had this sudden urge to follow ... it was weird."

"What did you see?" Galumon asked concern in his voice.

"I'm not quite sure ..."

"Just don't scare us, okay?"

Ruki just smiled kindly at the little creature as he turned and started to walk strait. The others just followed, not even looking behind fearing what might be lurking behind. One moment later the creature that Ruki saw appeared again behind a tree looking at there direction. They're not going to make a cross the bridge. Galumon, you and you're craving for sugar she thought as she disappeared.

Takato looked around some of the sensory gave him flash's of bad memories making him feel more helpless. He was so deep in thought that he didn't realize that Lee had taken off his jacket draped it around him feeling his arm around his shoulder.

"Huh?"

The goggle head boy turned to see his master smiling at him. Takato rested his head on Lee's shoulder feeling very safe only hearing Galumon singing "It's a New Day" (A song by the soundtrack of "Sailor Moon") as they walked on to the river. That's when the yellow and white creature appeared. Ruki was the first to stop; she let her eyes travel up her strong hind legs up her thin build body, her purple long gloves then her fox like face with cold blue eyes.

"Are you one of the spirits?" Ruki asked.

"One of the guardians ...."

"You must be Renamon ..." Ruki said in awe.

"So what if I was .... I just wanted to tell you that the bridge is washed out ... you can't without going the long way around."

"How did you know where we are going?"

Renamon turned with a smile on her face saying that she knew away how to get there without being floated away. Anything for my Juri-chan following the guardian, she won't last two more days. The others had no choice but follow her along the river until the river was shallow enough to cross.

"What you are after is across the river about one mile do north, Galumon knows exactly, just follow him and you shall not get lost. Good luck." She said and disappeared.

"Well, you hard the guardian! Let's go!" Said Ruki picking up her speed as they all followed her.

"Hey! Wait for me!" Galumon squalled excitedly running after them.

He finally caught up with them leading the way toward the north. So that was Renamon, she thought feeling as though her heart was feeling love and peace. She snapped out of her trance when she heard Galumon signing again, she couldn't help but chuckle at the little creature thinking how cute and free spirited he was with no care in the world.

Flowers stood strait and tall not afraid to show off its beauty. The travelers looked in awe at the wonder of nature. The flowers where truly beautiful and the leaves where lush and green.

"Juri-chan," Ruki whispered in the other girl's ear, "open your eyes. We made it."

"Just like Renamon said," the other girl whispered with a smile on her face her eyes still closed.

"How did you know?"

"She came to in a dream, saying that I was going to be free and the only one was going to be my night and shining armor."

"We better get started." Galumon walking to a flower that had spikes and thorns on it.

"Right. But what are supposed to do?" Ruki asked.

"You are to coke these flowers to get the nutrition out of it and make her drink it."

Ruki nodded her head and started to pick some of the flowers as Hirokazu and Kenta went to go get some wood. Lee and Takato staid behind to stay make sure that Juri is not alone. As if on queue, both boys came back with some wood, Takato rubbed two sticks together. Two sparks came and landed on the remaining sticks and soon they had a small fire. Ruki took out a small cup place the crushed flowers in and carefully place it on the medal bare that was being held by two other medal bars.

Juri watched the flames from the fire; she couldn't help but smile at her love. I knew that she would come and rescue me from my fears. Her eyes shined even more when Ruki came over with another cup, she lifted her head to bring the cup to the girl's lips and started to drink it.

"The only thing we can do now is wait." Said Galumon.

"We should just make camp here ..."

"Sounds good to me," Kenta yawned relaxing on the soft grass and was soon asleep without realizing that he feel asleep with his glass on.

Hirokazu smirked at his lover. Takato waited for Lee to flip out as the other boy carefully took off his glass and laid next to him but Takato's master just smiled. I'm glad that I did something right, Lee thought sitting down bring his knees to his chest, Why can't I make own decagons and fall in love with someone I love ... like Takato. He stole quick glance at his secret crush who was walking up.

"You probably want your clock back."

"Huh? Oh. You can wear it."

"No. I shouldn't be wearing this. It's not right for a slave to be wearing this."

"Takato," The prince sighed, "we should get some rest."

"Of course."part ten
