While Tien and Nearcai fight for control of the wave of energy. Chaozu flies across the planet in search of the Dragon balls.

(Chaozu Thinking) Because of my new powers flying is much easier and collecting the dragon balls should be even easier. I have to hurry Tien’s probably not going to be able to fight him much longer.
(King Kai’s telepathy) “I wouldn’t worry about Tien Chaozu.” “King Kai is that you?” “Yes it is Chaozu and like I was saying don’t worry about Tien.” “But King Kai I don’t.....” “Tien is still hiding the bulk of his power.” “Really?” “Yes, and if I’m not mistaken he has fully mastered a technique that even I and Goku couldn’t master.” “What!”

Meanwhile Tien still battles Nearcai in a enormous energy struggle.

(Nearcai Thinking) DAMN!, This...........This.......hu....man won’t die easy. No matter, I can feel the three star dragonball fading from existence. Soon I will be able to eliminate this human with a thought......Hmph.

(Tien Thinking) I’m in a bad situation but I must hold strong because my opponent is probably just getting started.

(Chaozu’s telepathy) “King Kai what technique did Tien master?” “I’m not surprised you don’t remember after all you slept most of the time while Tien constantly trained.”

(King Kai Flashes back to the Year Tien spent on his planet)
“(Tien Breathing Heavy) “King .......... Kai ........... Please .... I .... can ...keep ...going.”
“I’ll say this for you Tien your one persistent fighter but I’m afraid the Kaio Ken Attack will put to much stress on you physical body.” “Your spirit body can take more punishment.......”

Tien turns away from King Kai and begins to speak.

“King Kai you don’t understand, ....... I watched Goku, Piccolo, and even Vegeta fight to protect a planet they aren’t even from.” “While I sit on the sidelines and wait for the outcome.” “I want to fight on the same level as Goku so that one day I can challenge him as an equal.”

“Okay if it means that much to you then I’ll finish teaching you the fundamentals of the Kaio Ken Attack but I strongly advice that when your brought back to life you never uses it.”

(King Kai flashes back to the Present)
(Chaozu’s telepathy) “Wow, so Tien can use that attack.” “I think it goes deeper then that Chaozu.” “I don’t understand King Kai?”

Meanwhile the three star dragon ball fades from existence. And Nearcai power increases.

“PREPARE TO DIE HUMAN!”

Nearcai over powers Tien and the powerful Namekian’s blast seemingly vaporizes Tien. Nearcai gloats as the dust settles.

“HA HA HA soon there will be no one who can challenge..............Wait is this power I’m sensing.” “It can’t be that human.”

As the smoke clears Tien stands with sun flaring yellow aura surrounding his entire body.

“Fine, let us truly fight human.”

Both warriors begin to furiously power up.

Shin Kaiyôken Attack a perfected form of the Kaiouken Attack

Kaiouken (literally translated, "World King Fist") was taught by Kaio-sama, also known as (King Kai). The technique is used to multiply The users full strength- be it x2, x3, or even x20. When a fighter uses this technique, his aura turns bright red. Also, overusing the Kaio Ken will result in dying. Evidence also exists that the Kaio Ken is not a technique per se, but a martial arts style.

Shin Kaiyôken (literally translated, "Mastered King Fist") is a modified variation of Kaioken attack. The technique is utilizes the users’ full life-force strength. When Tien uses this technique, his aura turns fire yellow. Unlike the Kaioken attack this amplifies the spirit and ki not over taxing the body.
