The Saddness in The Heart
Part 2

Corine tried to find Hana, but she was either hiding somewhere deep in the forest or found an exit and went home.
He sighed, tired of running around in circles in a old forest. Where could she have gone. Looking at the watch on his
wrist, he saw it was 5:38. He had been searching for almost a half hour. Silence covered the forest, making him a little
uncomfortable and alone. His mind wondered back to earlier, when him and Hana were both sitting on the swings to when
she ran off into the forest in tears. How was he supposed to know when she was sad? She made it so hard to know.
Sort of at least. He had always saw when she was sad when they were together. She would always look downcast,
frowning, and was silient. Usually she was hyper and everything, but she would suddenly look downcast and plainly sad.
Something always seemed to be on Hana's mind, and every thought brought a new emotion to her face.
What could of been on her mind all those times? Then now, what could have led her to be so......depressed.
Something wet fell on his right cheek, making him look towards the sky. Behind all the green trees were grey skies that were
starting to cry its rain. Another drop fell, this time on his nose. " Damn! I brought no rain jacket!" More and more
rain started to fall, all around him. His thin jacket would be no help, considering it was only a thin fabric with no hood.
Sighing, he still kept walking around looking for Hana. His mind and heart wouldn't let him leave her. Minutes went by before
the rain started to pour " cats and dogs", as the saying goes. Still, he continued. Moments later, he heard a sniffling noise
coming from behind a douglas fur tree. Walking so he could see what the noise was, he saw Hana, holding an umbrella over
her head. " So you have an umbrella, eh?" Hana looked up, her tears long gone but the evidence was still there.
As quickly as she looked up with the surprise and shock in her eyes, she looked back down to the mud ground beneath her.
Corine bent his knees, so he was looking at the left side of her pale face. Reaching out, he grabbed her chin and forced her
to look into his eyes. Brown eyes met blue eyes, and Hana had trouble looking away. " Hana," Corine said gently to her,
" please tell me what the matter is?" Her mouth opened and closed, but no sound came out. "I'm alone." The soft and quite
whisper went barely unheard by Corine, but he heard her. " You're never alone! You got your family, your friends, and also,
you got me." "No, I don't have anyone!" She pulled her chin away from his grip, glaring in his eyes. " When I am
sad, and I try telling you, you don't give a damn! You ignore it!" Hana rose to her feet, as did Corine, and Hana now had to
look up to meet his eyes. " I'm sorry, ok? I don't know what I was thinking I guess." "No, you did know what you were thinking!
You just didn't care." She seemed to be losing her voice a bit. Her cheeks seemed to be getting flushed too. Maybe she was
getting a cold? Moving forward, Corine wrapped his arms around Hana, making her dried clothes a little wet because of
his clothes. "Get away." Hana's voice was strained and a little cracked. " I love you Hana, nothing is going to make me
feel any different." Lightly, Corine kissed her forehead. Suddenly, Hana wrapped her arms around him too, returning the hug.
"I love you too Corine." He smiled, happy to know she was happy at the moment, or at least content. " Now lets get you home, it looks
like you got a bit of a fever on you." Nodding, Hana looked up to Corine's brown eyes. She loved his eyes, they spoke volumes
of emotions. Always, she could see if he was lying or not. Now, at that moment, she knew he wasn't lying.
Standing on her tip toes, Hana gave Corine a quick kiss on the lips. Blushing, both looked away, embrassed.
Grabbing her hand, Corine started to with Hana out of the forest, under the saftey of her umbrella.
As the two reached the end of the forest, the rain slowly stopped till the sun shyly shined. Hiding the umbrella back in the small
pack she had, which Corine didn't notice till now, the two continued their walk. Looking up to her left, Hana looked
at the boyfriend who she loved. What whould life be if there was no love? She thought. What would love
be if you weren't loved in return? Looking back to her boyfriend, Hana was happy to be in love and loved in return.
"I love you Corine." Looking down and smiling, Corine replied. " And I love you Hana."
The two walked away, not know what life had in stored, but ready to face whatever together.
"ACHOO!!" "I told you you got a cold!" "Shut up!"
