Ryoma stared at this so-called Fuji Syuusuke. He doesn’t really trust the “friendly” smile the Archmage was giving him. In fact, he didn’t trust anyone after what happened six years ago. Well maybe he DID trust Karupin but that’s another story. During these past six year, he lived alone, fought to survive and rarely asked for help. Thus he has become independent of human contacts. The only reason he visited human cities was to get some information on strong magical artifacts.
“No thanks. I’ll pass.” he answered flatly.
The Archmage looked quite disappointed but didn’t insist.
“Then may I at least now your name?”
“No.” he replied, feeling more and more uncomfortable as he saw the brunet’s eyes open revealing two magnificent blue orbs. My name’ he thought. If I tell him my name, it will be a sign of trusting him and I really DON’T trust him.’
Fuji was about to say something when a red haired boy dressed in black popped out of nowhere behind him and glomped him.
“Nya, Fujiko! What were you doing all alone out here? We were looking all over for you!”
“Saa… Sorry if I made you worry about me, Eiji. I was only out for a little walk when I got a little distracted.”
Then Eiji finally noticed Ryoma who was slowly sneaking away on his toes with Karupin.
“Nya, who’s that? Did something happen between you two?” He growled while eying suspiciously Ryoma.” If he hurt you I won’t forgive him! Nya!”
“It’s nothing. We only had a pleasant little chat” The brunet answered absently.” Let’s go find the others before they start getting worried about you as well.”

Ryoma slowly walked out of the Enchanted Forests and headed for the nearest city, Venitia, with an awkward feeling. He was quite disappointed to come out of the forest empty handed. He was expecting to find some rare artifacts to help him get stronger but considering that there was another group of human there, the treasures must have been already taken.
Venitia was a very big city where all the important people all over the land of Illyria gathered so, naturally, you can get a lot of information there. The green hairded boy was hoping to find some information about the whereabouts of rare artifacts in a certain bar (even though he’s underage…).
He came in sight of Venitia in the afternoon and hid Karupin near the city because a Damiyo that has a reputation of being a wild ferocious beast hard to tame would attract too much attention and he wanted anything but that. He discreetly entered the city and blended himself in the crowd.

Fuji and Eiji arrived at their camp a little afternoon. They had camped near a small lake since it was a good source of food and water. They were greeted by a young man who was wearing white robe.
“Ah! Oishi!” The red hairded boy said while glomping his best friend.
“Ten laps around the lake for making us worry like that, both of you.” A grave voice shouted from behind trio.
“Nya? But Captain Tezuka , why do I have to run as well?” Eiji whined.” I didn’t make anyone worry by disappearing and I was the one who brought Fujiko back!”
“For you, it’ll be twenty laps for eating all our food with Momoshiro who has already done his laps.” The captain answered making his glasses shine which was everyone’s cue to start running.
“And after that, how about some of my Ultra Deluxe Akozu?” Another man with spiky hair and thick glasses added.” It’s perfect after running…” (A/N: Errrrr No, Inui dear it’s a perfect MOTIVATION to run…)
“NYA!!!!!!”

“What is it Oishi?”
“Kaido said that the Scouts he sent out didn’t find anything valuable so I’m concluding that there isn’t much left so how about we go to another place?”
“I guess you’re right. We stayed here for quite a while now. Let’s go to Venitia to get some more information.”
“Captain.” Fuji called after finishing his laps.” I met an interesting boy this morning. If we can convince him to join us, maybe we can start searching for the Dragonite scepter.”
“Hnnn?Are you…pant…talking about…pant…that strange boy…pant…we saw earlier?” asked Eiji who had also managed to finish all his laps before collapsing.
“Saaa…That’s the one. He managed to fight an EarthSalamander the size of a bear and was doing pretty well before I intervened. I’m not sure but by the way he was moving and fighting I think he received the formation of, perhaps, a NightWalker?”
“That’s impossible. The King has ordered the annihilation of the last clan of NightWalkers a few years ago. Remember what happened to Kojirou? Anyway, why didn’t you ask him to join us? It would save us the time we’ll spend searching for him.” Oishi asked.” Do you know where he is now?”
“I did but he refused.” The Archmage answered.” I don’t think he trusts me too much so I thought that you guys could give it a try. I managed to cast a tracking spell on him before he disappeared but he managed to deactivate. He was in Venitia before I lost track of him but I don’t think he’ll be going anywhere soon…”
“He must be quite strong for you to find him interesting and to deactivate that spell.” Tezuka noted.” We will see when the time comes. I don’t have any objections since it’s on our way. Let’s go and don’t let your guard down.”
“Yay! Finally we’re going back to human civilization. I was wondering when I will be able to sleep in a bed, nya!”
“Yes, that would be great.” Oishi agreed and then whispered to himself.
