Lost: A Ranma ½ - Ronin Warriors Crossover
Chapter One

Disclaimer: I don't own Ronin Warriors or Ranma 1/2. The only things of those two
animes that I do own are a few artbooks, mangas, CDs, and videos/DVDs. However, both Jen and
Isis are mine, and using them without my permission will wind up with the offender being,
literally, toasted. You have been warned!

A lone figure trudged wearily through the Shinjuku district of Tokyo, Japan. Upon closer
examination, the figure was a boy of about 16 years of age with black hair that was held
out of his eyes with a yellow and black bandana. His chocolate colored eyes scanned the area
around him to figure out exactly where he was, or, whether there was any danger around, but
mostly he was trying to figure out where he was. He carried a huge hiking pack on his back with a
red umbrella through the loops on top of it. The boy's name was Ryoga Hibiki, from Nerima,
and he was lost.

"Where am I? I don't recognize any of these buildings. Also, why is it so cloudy? It was
sunny when I left Nerima a few weeks ago.", he said to himself as he continues walking,
getting more frustrated the more lost he got.

"WHERE ON EARTH AM I NOW?!?!", he shouted as he put his fist through the nearest
wall in anger and frustration.

"Shinjuku district, Tokyo.", said a female voice behind him.He turned and saw a young
woman wearing what appeared, to him, to be strange looking armor. He looked at her
curiously.

"Who are you?", he asked cautiously, removing his umbrella from its place on top of his
hiking pack, and holding it defensively in front of him. He didn't know if she was good or
evil, so, he decided to be prepared for an attack, just in case.

"I'm Jen Smith, bearer of the Armor of Wildfire, and defender of the mortal world against
the Dynasty. Who are you?", she said calmly as she walked up to the confused boy.

"Er...I'm Ryoga Hibiki, and I'm trying to get back to Nerima to settle a score with
someone.", he said, sensing, from her conversational tone, that she meant no harm.

Jen nodded.
"Ah, revenge, huh?"

"You could say that. The guy I'm fighting in Nerima has always beaten me. I intend to
change that.", Ryoga said, then thought for a second or two. "So, do you happen to
know where Nerima is, and can you point me in the right direction?"

Jen nodded as she thought it over.
"It's really not all that far away from here. How did you become so lost in the first
place?", she said, getting genuinely curious.

Ryoga blushed in embarrassment. "Well, I have a bad sense of direction. Actually, I
have the worst sense of direction in the universe. I get lost in my own house when I can
find my way home.", he said, and Jen nodded thoughtfully.

"Okay, we'll guide you to Nerima...", she started, but was cut off by Ryoga.

"I don't want help getting there, I just need to be pointed in the right direction."

"But, it's not really safe around here at the moment. See those clouds up there? That's
not natural. Those clouds are caused by the Dynasty.", she said with slight irritation.

"I can take care of myself. I'm a martial artist.", Ryoga said as he started off in a
direction chosen entirely at random. Jen sighed in slight exasperation.

"Nerima's the other way...", she started, then heard something. Getting uneasy, she
unsheathed one of the swords on her back and looked around. Following the Ronin's
lead, Ryoga decided that it would be a good idea to prepare his umbrella again.

"Dynasty Soldier attack? No...it's too strong for that. It's gotta be her. Of all the bad
bloody times for her to appear, and it's when I'm separated from the guys, trying to find
them and help this kid find his way back home.", Jen was muttering to herself. Ryoga
looked at her with a bewildered look on his face(a/n: He's cute when he's bewildered.
^_^).

"It's gotta be who?", he asked, snapping Jen out of her train of thought.

"Isis.", she replied simply.

"Who's that?"

"Isis of the Blizzard. She's a human working for the Dynasty as a Dark Warlady. Without
armor, like mine, the most you could do is hold off the soldiers she brings with her while
I fight her. It would be wise if we tried to avoid a confrontation with her until I either get
you back to Nerima or we find the other Ronin Warriors.", Jen said.

"Ronin Warriors? Who're they?"

"Like I said...we defend the mortal world against the Dynasty. If we're attacked by the
Dynasty along the way, I'm honor bound to defend you, even if you claim to be able to
take care of yourself.", Jen said sternly.

"If we're going, let's go. The longer we stay here, the greater chance of the Dynasty
finding us, and the less chance of us successfully getting you back to Nerima.", Jen
added as she started walking toward the direction that she knew Nerima was in.

With a shrug, deciding that arguing with her wouldn't be wise, Ryoga followed.

To be continued...

Author's Note: I was originally planning this to be a one-shot story, but I decided on a
chaptered story because there's no way that Isis would let the Ronins travel through
Shinjuku unopposed. Any OOCness on Ryoga's part is my fault, but I tried, based on
what I know about him. However, Jen can out-stubborn anyone, so, maybe Ryoga
decided that arguing with her would be a losing battle. I will probably include other
Ranma characters later on, like when they finally reach Nerima, but, for right now, it's all
Ryoga, because he's my fave. ^_^

Anyway, until the next chapter...ja ne!
