Marron sat silently on the wooden park bench. The rain poured around him, soaking his hair and clothes. His golden eyes were heedless of the moisture as they concentrated on the dark bruises that circled his wrists. He had given Gateau another chance, he shouldn't have.
Carrying a large umbrella, Tira and Carrot walked down the path, having spotted him, they insisted he come home.
"God Marron, you're soaked!" Carrot lifted one edge of his robes and let it fall with a plop.
Tira stared intensely, "Is there something wrong Marron?"
He knew he should tell, but he didn't.
