Ok. You're bringing it back. For what it's worth, the "angst" really came through more when it was Kagome's POV early on. Switching to Ranma's POV is where some of it got lost. I like this last chapter....the plot thickens.

My oh my! Poor Ranma! Or, is he really Inuyasha now? I am of two minds on what that "something else" that went with the Jusenkyo curse into the mirror (and...didn't that mirror break in the second movie?) was. On one hand, it could be "Ranma". On the other, it could just be the seal on his past life, allowing Ranma to know who he was last time around. Or something else entirely. I am curious as to how Kagome got all of the sacred objects needed for the ceremony. I thought, for some reason, that everything but Inuyasha's kimono and hakama were left in the dream castle at the end of the second movie (and where DID she get the fire rat from, anyway? Surely Sesshoumaru would not loan it out for this, assuming he has it.). The only thing I am a little concerned about is the time location for his random memories. Its obviously set during the time of the jewel quest. Wait until the Inuyasha soul sees Kagome in her mid-twenties! Can we say confusion - yessiree! **chuckles** And that brings up another question: how will Kagome handle the reincarnated Inuyasha? We all know what happened when Kagome first came to the Sungoku Jidai. Comparisons between her and Kikyou abounded! Will turnabout be fair play, in this case? But I really did love this chapter. Settled for once and for all on whether Ranma is the reincarnation of Inuyasha, and brought a bit of angst back into the picture. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Nice chapter. Again, a bit of a filler, but a very important one - we're seeing what a chance meeting between Kagome and Ranma has wrought. Ranma is growing up and maturing (come to think of it, he's doing it in a very similar way to Inuyasha... ;p), and is being introduced to a world that he didn't really know existed (though he has met up with a real ghost and a cat demon previously). The thought crossed my mind that Kagome, on some level, "recognizes" Ranma (if you really are going the way I expect you to, of course), since she's introducing him to demons - and two in particular. Hachi and Shiori would know Inuyasha, having met him before. I also foresee a confrontation between at least one of Ranma's fiancee's and Kagome coming up - your mention of increased violence makes me wonder if it won't be Akane herself. Wonder what would happen if someone attacked Kagome right in front of Ranma.... **blushes** And thank you for the mention in your note at the bottom of the chapter. I love this story! Can't wait for your next update!

Great premise - love the concept. Absolutely spell bound by the first two chapters. Then what happened? Kagome's angst dissapeared, as did the shadow demon society. I understand the need to set up the story and characters, but the momentum after Chapter 2 really suffered. Looking forward to where the two threads come back together.....Sorry if i sound critical, but i was just so entranced by those first two chapters!

This chapter was a little slow, but I think we're going to look back on this chapter and go, "ahhhh, NOW I get it!". I am starting to wonder if Kagome "recognizes" Ranma on some level - she is (so far! - she doesn't know he's one of the Wrecking Crew yet!)remarkably patient and tolerating of Ranma's quirks; a lot like she was with Inuyasha. That could just be because she is roughly ten years older than he is, of course. You know, Ranma's tensing when he expected Kagome to say something about his lack of interest in school and homework just like his finacee's makes me wonder what the consensus of said fiancee's is going to be when they meet Kagome. **grins** The fiance contingent probably won't like him - and I think Akane will be the one who is the most jealous. Should be interesting when they all do meet up. Meanwhile, good chapter. Can't wait for the next update!
