This is one of those few fanfics that you come across that just draws you in and you can't help but feel connected to it, I mean this story was from back in 2004 and looking at some of the reviews you're still getting them 7 1/2 years later... that's just... amazing. I'm a quick reader and it took me about a full two days to get through this and this is one of those stories that I could sit for a week just reading. I don't think I've ever been so captivated by a story. What makes it different is that it's not the common: Problem, fight, happy ending. This is a complete turnaround and is family based and on the much softer side of things. I've printed out this story so I can read it again at later dates (you never know when things might disappear) Your writing style is just amazing and extremely well done. I'm a beta reader and have gone over plenty of stories and seen so many errors it surprises me. The fact that you really put research into this is another testament to how well of a writer you are. Although I won't lie, I did kind of skim through the Shinto wedding bit, but that's just me. There's so much more to be said, but I doubt I can convey everything in my mind about this story. Basically it left me smiling at parts, laughing at others and building up tears at sad moments, it's so easy to connect with this story that it's crazy. This is an amazing riveting fantastic epic, with one of the best inuyasha characterisations I have read. I rally enjoyed this story watching the growth and development of their relationship, so beautiful and sweet, you really allowed us to see the strength of their bond and the love they have for each other. I loved your story! Usually I only read short Inuyasha fic's but this one was exceptionally well written. The story was good and you kept the characters true to the way the originally are in the manga. This is one of my all time favorite fics. I just reread it because I saw that you had updated the sequal and I still love it. Though I am curious if you have a list of Kagome and Inuyasha's children and the type of youkai available? It can get a bit confusing at times. And as I was reading this last time a small plot hole jumped out at me. If those of youkai blood and those with Talent, such as miko, can see through the concealments, then why did neither Kagome nor Inuyasha realize that Buyo was Kirara? How come they couldn't see throught the disguise? Like I said, it's just a minor point but I was curious. Anyway, excellent job and I'm sure that I'll be rereading it again at some point. This story was quickly added to my favorites list. I was hooked from the first page. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, the characters, and your writing style. I know I'm late in the game, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading your story from start to end. I found no grammar errors and your style was simple, but engaging. The loop in time makes it interesting, but you keep it canon and new at the same time. Great job waiting until in her own time for Kags to have a child of her own because before that would have made a riff in the time fabric. I really was impressed with your characterizations, especially Yukio and your style of writing children, which can be especially hard to do. The story is also a really lengthy size without becoming boring or losing the pacing in the middle. Congratulations on finishing it and I look forward to reading more of your work.

I've read this story in it's entirety at least 12 times since it was started. I love it each and every time and I still cry at the emotional parts. It's very original and I have to say, my favorite fanfic in the inuyasha fandom of all time. keep up the great work.

I honestly don't care if you have stopped reading reviews for this masterpiece because I just have to congratulate you for writing such a brilliant story! Needless to say that 'The Lucky Ones' is my all-time favourite IY fanfic. No other story compares when it comes to the sheer detail that you have given to the IY universe. Full marks on the originality since I have never come across anything remotely similar (that was published BEFORE this ). And I absolutely loved how EVERYONE was in character which made it all the more believable. Here's to hoping that you continue writing such awesome fanfics! P.S: If by chance you happen to read this, can you please try to finish the sequel? :)

You have 10 in everything!!! and i mean everything!!! I couldn't go to sleep last night cuz I just couldn't stop reading xD OMG!!! You're fic it's just soooo wonderful, I'll admit to you, I don't read long fics cuz I'll get tired always, not too interesting and stuff, but you're has got me you RULE!!! xD Well, first I wanted to say something about a comment you made in one chapter, about people telling you Inuyasha it's out of character... I got upset about it!!! and u know??? maybe they didn't write or something... or whatever, well at least for me it's really!!! really!!! difficult to keep inuyasha as close as he really is, and I know the Inutasha in my fic's it NOT sooo close to the real inuyasha, cuz it's really hard, for me at least xD But you made a GREAT job, you have 48 chapters and 1 epilogue and I haven't see Inuyasha out of character so far, you made a great job, I love you're inuyasha, he's great, really balanced, and everything about him make sense, naaaa don't let those comments bother you, they were probably just jealous of you're writing skills xD jijijijiji Other thing that I love about you're fic was all at the beginning, the thing with the pup, yukio, it was soooo great!!! I mean the "baby" personality and the way Inuyasha and kagome were with him was SOOOO great xD I loved it so much xD really really... Ohhhh and I'M deeply in love with the inu-youkai language!!! ahhhhhhh!!! I just loved it soooooooooooooooooooo much!!! and even more when sesshomaru heard kagome talking to youkio with it!!! ahhhhhhh!!! I mean it's so sweet so special between them, sooooo beautiful, I mean, if all youkai stuff and that was really for sure they would have something like that an ahhhhh!!! cute!!! I just love it, it's just like they very deeply special way to communicate, I love it. One thin that I most be sincere and tell you that I didn't love, was the fact that inuyasha couldn't promise himself to kagome, but actually that's the only thing i don't like from the real inuyasha, i mean, i can't help it but i HATE kikyo, and I loved the way you express what i always thought about her in Sango's and Kaede's words, it was just sooo fantastic, you made me forgive you're kikyo by the way she behaved xD but you're kikyo any other kikyo I hate xD jijijiji In my fics kikyo always it's "the bad guy" and i always kill her muahahahaha!!! Well well, I loved also the way you made look Inuyasha relationship with everyone else, Miroku and Sango, I loved it, it seemd sooo close to the real thing, you'e really good at Inuyasha fanfics xD And you made me cry, just a little bit xD before Kikyo released Inuyasha, I thought it was very very had for poor Kagome xD and I also laugh a lot with the last two chaptes, with Inuyasha and Kagome's adoptive children xD sooo funny xD people here at my home were like... "What are you reading? what are you laughing at?" it was funny xD Well... I'll let you one last rewiew for the epilogue, I just knew I had to write more than two xD I just like you're fic too much to not tell you xD Well... I think that was it xD If i find something it's missing, I'll let you know... xD Oh!!! the lemons!!! that was it, the fist one, I didn't get it xD was so funny, when i finished the chapter i was like... etto... was it a dream, did it happen? and i didn't know until the ficst lines of the next chapter, and then i had to go back and read the end again xD it's was sooo funny xD I liked you're lemons a lot, they weren'r expicit ones, but really sweet ones, and I liked them... xD I only read fics with lemon, but you're fic it's soo good that doesn't need 15 pages of lemon to attecth me to it, cuz the way you write and the fic itself it's worth reading word by word xD Well now I think that's it, anyway, if i'm missing something will have to wait until the final rewiew cuz I used all the charecter's allow in this rewiew juajuajua xD Well well till nect rewiew xD you RULE xD byebye Eiko007

I read this story once a couple of years ago and lost the link to it. I found it again on google just by typing a few key-words(the wonders of the internet) and now I'm re-reading it. Thank you for writing such a wonderful fic. Good authors are so hard to come by. The storyline was perfect and beautiful. Thumbs up!

A much belated thank you for writing this fic…. A few years ago, I read this and loved the characterization, depth, and plot… More recently, when we were expecting, I re-read it again, thinking about how a child changes relationships… Finally I recently read it on maternity leave, while getting the hang of breastfeeding with my daughter (which has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life). This is a truly wonderful story and such a great example on how nursing infants can be immensely rewarding and bring a family closer together. (Intriguingly, a la Inuyasha, my husband has been somewhat curious about it, and greatly supportive). This story is a true classic, and certainly an inspiration to me in the first weeks when my daughter was still not latching right. (Now, if only I had a hanyou who could bring me my infant on work breaks!) Many thanks for writing this and you have my eternal gratitude -- hemlockglade
