Artist's Commentary
This was inspired by a scene I saw sitting on the pier waiting for dragonboat practice to begin. It came out...cuter than I thought it would. I like how the feather came out and the softness. Though the feather looks more like it belongs to an angel than a seagull... The fish came out surprisingly well. I think it was modeled after the art style of the fish in "The Rainbow Fish." The proportions of the picture is kind of off though. Done in OpenCanvas. Originally posted on deviantART on September 17, 2004.
