Artist's Commentary
This is Graye Kenneth from my SDGF mediaminer fanfic, Apocalyptic in the uniform she gets in chapter six along with a bunch of her quotes. The background was just a bit hard, but thankfully I managed without havign to resort to pinching photos from google. yeah. This is what I've been selling my soul to lately in the wakign hours between school and 10 pm. I hope this clarifies graye's appearance a bit. she's kind of average built, skinny with twiggy thighs :sweatdrop: but she's still cool. I like her white uniform because it's not shiny or reflective much at all; the gloves aren't leather, they're synthetic. White is ahrd to shade without becoming gray (no doge or burn on white) so the 'white' is actually a very, very, very light shade of purple. Her Plasma pike was fun with gradients, shinies and perspective and I MUST add that the strap goes behind her and clips to the case and doesn't just stop there... had to yell at my mom on that one. YES the gun has a cylindrical barrel; in my universe the army uses the most efficent shapes for weapons as possible to save the materials they are running so low on. I am NOT PROUD of her hands; hands are evilness to me, but I think I got the one with the gun okayish. This was inspired after a drooling session at Melady's work on mediaminer. I doubt I could ever make anything as awesome as her work (always a higher mountian XX) but I tried my best. Can anyone belive that this is acutally my second attempt at CG artwork? I've never touched the manuals in my life; most of the effects in this were from nice people's tutorials and my own piddling around with settings. Huzzah for experimentation! The lineart was hand inked and then scanned in with my ickypoo scanner (still have to perfect my lineart cleaning skills). it was then fixed and cleaned up a bit with may wacom art tablet (yay for birthdays!) and colored in Corel Paintshop Pro. The background was done in photoshop, but the buildings were added with PSP (yay for picture tube!). I stole/borrowed NOTHING from anyone else (besides using a few tutorials and to those people I am eternally greatful) so I don't have to credit anyone! SCORE! sorry to all fanclub pplz that this isn't true SDGF styled fanart. But cel shading HATES MY GUTS and will not cooperate with me. as soon as I learn to draw SD gundams properly (ICK LITTLE PARTS EQUALS HEADACHE!!) I'll draw some non OC fanart. but in the meantime, I'll go slave away to my fanfiction. Ciao.
