Chapter 2:- An Ancient Evil (Part 2)
Note: This fic series is mainly an Oh My Goddess/Warhammer 40K crossover but I added elements of Final Fantasy 10 cause I have a lack of imagination of thinking up fiends. The berries from pokemon Sapphire/Ruby will appear occasionaly.
Zidane = Horus pronounced ix-eel (Chaos lord/god, one of the chaos gods that turned half of the emperor's legions against the emperor 10,000 years ago)
The Almighty/Kami-Sama = The new Emperor (the emperor appointed the Almighty as his sucessor)
Male version of the Valkyries = Imperial Space Marines
The Valkyries = Sisters of Battle
Traitor Gods/Demons = Chaos
Kasr Partox, Cadia
Zidane stood on a ledge overlooking a smoking wreckage of a Chaos Defiler, he was surpised that it was so easily destoryed by one shot from his plasma cannon. With the cannon overloaded and not funtioning anymore, Zidane dropped it onto the ground and slid down the gravel ledge down to the wreckage; Zidane shuddered it was so cold and the smoking wreckage provided not much heat. Zidane stared at the wreckage not noticing that the warp gate behind him just opened and Khârn the betrayer emerging from it, suddenly Zidane's eyes glowed and turned jet black.
"Hah! I've caught you off guard imperial scum!" Khârn said
Khârn rushed towards Zidane (who was now Horus) brandishing his axe.
"YOU DARE ATTACK YOUR GOD???!!!" Horus yelled
A shock wave came from Zidane's hand hitting Khârn sending him flying back towards the gate
"UH?! Lord Horus??!!!" Khârn said
"Yes Khârn; it is I, I have taken this god as my host until I have enough power to regain my true form" Horus said
"But why this god, my lord?" Khârn asked
"He happens to be the emperor's only son and he also has three sisters, he can get into the inner santum of Yggdrasil, the gods will not expect one of thier own to attack them" Horus said
"You have chosen wisley my lord" Khârn said
"I need you to get the Beserkers and attack the arcana shrine, I need those arcanas" Horus said
"I will do as you command my lord" Khârn bowed
"I will get our revenge on the heavens for our defeat at Zanarkand" Horus said "Be gone now, before I let my host re-take control of his body" Horus continued
"Yes my lord" Khârn said entering the warp gate
The gate deactivated, Horus's eyes glowed again and Zidane returned to normal.
"Eh? what happened why am I looking at the gate?" Zidane rubbed his head "Better get back home" Zidane said creating a portal and stepping through.
At the temple:
Rind sat on the veranda, she hadn't being feeling too well latley, she felt a bit nauseated as she stood up. Belldandy was sweeping around the temple as usal; she was concerned about Zidane, his mood had changed since he said he banged his head; what was even wierder is that she couldn't sense that disturbance anymore it was if it came and went, a portal opened and Zidane appeared.
"Hello Zidane!" Belldandy smiled
"Hello dear" Rind said kissing Zidane on his cheek "Anything go down on Cadia?" Rind asked
"A Chaos Defiler; did they seriously think they could stand up to a full power shot from a plasma cannon? Half of the Defiler was disintergrated" Zidane smirked "And then I kinda blacked out for about a minute....." Zidane continued
"I think that bang on your head was more serious than you thought dear" Rind said worried
"I'm fine dear, no need to worry" Zidane said "Are you ok, Belldandy said that you weren't feeling too good" Zidane continued
"I just feel a little dizzy, if I still feel dizzy I'll go see the elders" Rind said.
Yggdrasil Central:
"Code red; Khorne forces have attacked arcana shrine, communications with shrine is offline......" Yggdrasil said
"Grey Knight 4th batallion to base, we are sustaining casulties, the chaos have stolen all of the arcanas except for 4 of them, fiends appearing all over the place, need re-enforcments" Yggdrasil said
"Dispatching reinforcments immediatly" Peorth said
Back at the temple
"Here Rind, heres some persim berry juice to make your dizzynes go away" Zidane said giving the glass to Rind
"Thanks" Rind smiled
"I'm just going out for a little wile" Zidane said turning around, his eyes flashed faintly
On Cadia, near the warp gate
"Did you get them?" Horus asked
"Yes my lord" Khârn said "But I don't understand why you need them, they forced us into the eye of terror and I don't see how its gonna help" Khârn continued
"I need the energy, I don't have a solid form I'm just pure dark energy" Horus said touching the arcanas
The arcanas glowed black as its energy transferred into Horus.
"Now take these and keep them safe" Horus said
"As you command" Khârn replied walking back into the warp gate
Back at the temple, Rind slowly walked down the corridor, she was still feeling unwell as she walked into the living room
"Belldandy I'm still not feeling good" Rind complained
"I think I'd better take you up to see one of the elders maybe they can find out whats wrong with you" Belldandy said
"Should we wait till Zidane gets back?" Rind asked
"I'll ask Sigel to give him the message" Belldandy smiled as she walked over to a large mirror
Moments later....
"Lets go" Belldandy smiled.
As soon as Belldandy and Rind left Zidane arived, Sigel gave the message that Belldandy gave her. Later Sigel was walking through the temple; when she heard a noise coming from Urd's "Lab", Sigel went to have a look and saw Zidane acting strange.
"Master Zidane?" Sigel asked
Zidane did not answer, Sigel walked up to Zidane
"Excuse me master?" Sigel asked again
"WHAT IS IT???!" Zidane said as his eyes glowed
"Eeek!" Sigel stepped back "A demon!!!" Sigel exclaimed
"I'm not a deamon, I'M HORUS OF CHAOS!!!" Horus said
"Help!!!!!! Mistress Skuld!!!!!" Sigel ran towards the door
"Oh no you don't" Horus said sending some kind of EMP pulse at Sigel disabling her
Meanwile in the heavens, Rind sat on the examination table wating for the restults of her medical test; she was wandering why she had been so unwell for the past two weeks. Belldandy was curious why Zidane's mood had changed so abruptly; a medical goddess came into the room.
"Miss Rind, we got your results and its good news!" the goddess smiled
"What is it?" Rind said eagerly
"Congratulations miss Rind you are pregnant!" The goddess smiled
Belldandy congratulated Rind by hugging her; Rind was stunned to hear that she is pregnant but very happy.
"We gotta tell Zidane!" Rind smiled
Back as the temple; Urd had just got back from her walk and noticed that it was a little too quiet.
"Skuld? Zidane?" Urd called out
Urd noticed Sigel and Banpei lying deactivated in the living room, Urd tred to switch them back on but couldn't, she looked up and noticed that Skuld in the corridor and Keiichi in his room both unconcious and what she recognised as Chaos marks all over the wall like there had been a fight.
"Zidane!" Urd called out
"What do you want Goddess??!!!" Horus said
"Zid...." Urd looked horrified as she saw Zidane's eyes glow "It's you Horus, but you're dead??!!" Urd continued
"My body maybe dead but my soul aint!" Horus said charging at Urd
A hand to hand combat commenced between Horus and Urd. Belldandy and Rind came walking up the street, they had just gone somewhere to buy some groceries.
"Those vapours! I've seen them before" Belldandy said
"Belldandy come quick its Zidane!" Urd shouted
Belldandy and Rind rush in just as Horus/Zidane sends Urd crashing through a door.
"Zidane??!!" Belldandy shouted
"Zidane? I no longer answer to that old name. I am Horus of chaos!!" Horus said
"Horus?! You were killed and the other traitor gods were banished to the eye of terror 10,000 years ago!" Rind said
"If I were dead why would I be speaking now?!" Horus said
"What did you do to the arcanas you stole?!!" Urd shouted
"Oh they're in a safe place" Horus said as Zidane's Grey Knight armour formed on him
"Why have you re-appeared?" Rind asked
"I intend to get my revenge on the emperor and all who serve him and I will rule over all in terror!" Horus said as the Grey Knight Armour turned jet black
"Zidane fight him; do not give up, I will rescue you my love!" Rind yelled
"Ifrit, HELLFIRE" Horus commanded
Ifrit appeared coloured ash grey, its eyes glowed red. Ifrit leaped into the air formed a fire ball and fired it directly at the goddesses
"LOOK OUT!" Belldandy yelled
The fire ball missed them but obliterated the centeral large building in the temple grounds, dust filled the air thick, finally it cleared and Rind looked up
"Horus is gone!!" Rind said
"I must warn the heavens!!" Belldandy said rushing off
