CHAPTER TWO
THE NECKLACE OF LOVE

Tai imediately let go of Davis' shirt collar (Which made Davis fall to the floor due to loss
of balance) and asked Kari "What did you just say Kari?". "I'll tell you once I find what was
choking Daisuke ok" Kari replied. Kari walked over to where Daisuke was kneed down and
asked "Are you ok Dai-kun?". Davis looked up at Kari and said "Yeah I just bumped my
head lightly that's all." "Your head is not what I'm worried about Daisuke." Kari said. "Then
what are worried about?" Davis asked. "I'm worried about that when Tai had you by your
collar it looked to me that you were choking on something." Kari said. Davis thought for a
second or two then remembered something that he had on, so he reached inside his shirt
and pulled out a silver chained necklace with a topaz Elephant hooked onto it.
"I think this is what choked ...woh" Davis started to say, but was interrupted by. "Kari
can you please explain to me why you are hugging me?" Davis asked. Kari let go of Davis
and looked at her boyfriend with a very seeable blush. "And why are you now blushing?"
Davis asked. "Because you kept a promise to me." Kari said. "Huh what promise?" Davis
asked. "The promise you made to me early today silly." Kari said. Davis scratched the back
of his head in confusion then said "I don't remember that promise, can you please remind
me of what that promise was?". Kari looked at her boyfriend a little surprised then said "You
don't remember the meaning of me giving you that necklace?" "Uh no I don't think you even
told me the meaning either." Kari sighed a bit and said "Makes sence since I got interrupted
by...."
(FLASHBACK EARLY THAT DAY)
The younger Digidestined plus Matt,Izzy and Joe were keeping a close eye on where
they thought Oikawa was going to try to open the Digital world (I think). "Man I wish that
creep would hurry up and get here so I can knock his lights out." Davis said while cracking
his knockles. Kari looked over at Davis and said "Calm down Daisuke.". Davis looked over at
Kari and said "How can I calm down when I don't even know if we can beat this guy along
with Arukenimon and Mummymon.". "Simple." Kari said smiling with a slight blush, then
started to remove something from underneath her sweater, when Daisuke got full view of
what Kari had removed from underneath her sweater he saw a beautiful Silver chained
necklace with a Topaz Elephant hooked onto the hook of the necklace.
"What's with the necklace Kari-Chan?" Davis asked. Kari looked at Daisuke and said "I
want you to wear this necklace.". Davis cocked his head to the side and asked "What for?"
"So..so you know that I'll always be right there by your side." Kari said with a light blush.
Davis blushed from Kari's comment, but after a few seconds he regained his composure
smiled and said "I promise I'll wear this necklace for the rest of my life.". Kari taken back by
what Davis had just said then said "How can you say when you don't the meaning of that
necklace or that we aren't even a official couple...yet". "Because it really doesn't matter to
me right now, all that matters to me right now is that you have complete faith in me." Davis
said, then smiled at Kari. Kari blushed at Davis then said "Ok here you go.". Kari then
handed the necklace to Daisuke who immediatly put it around his neck.
"Thank you Hika-cha..." "BOOOOOM" Kari and Davis then looked from behind the
bush that they were hiding in and saw that Oikawa and the Dark Spore Children were trying
to get into the Digital World. "It's about time he showed up now let's end this." Davis said
then he and the rest of the younger Digidestined and their Digimon followed Oikawa into the
Dream World with the portal closing before Matt, Joe and Izzy could follow.
(END OF FLASHBACK)
"Remember now Dai-kun?" Kari asked. "Um, Yeah I remember now, but Kari what was
the meaning of this necklace?" Davis asked. Kari smiled a bit then said "The whole story of
that necklace is that necklace use to be my Grandmother's, who she got from my
Grandfather momments before their first date." "Ok, but why did you give this to me?" Davis
asked. "I'm getting to that."Kari said. "Oh, sorry." Davis aplogized. "Ok now two weeks
before my Grandmother had past away she had given me this necklace telling me to give
this to someone who I knew I would stay with for the rest of my life." Kari said with a blush
on her face. "So you think that I'm going to stay with you the rest of your life?" Davis asked.
"No I know that you're the one that want to stay with for the rest of my life." Kari said. "Is
that so Kari, then would you mind explaining how you and Davis became an item?"
Someone asked. Davis and Kari turned around and saw that it none other but Kari's older
brother who asked the question. "Sure Tai." Kari said. "It started...."
