MAGIC KNIGHTS’ ADVENTURE IN THREE KINGDOMS
Crossover between : Magic Knight Rayearth-Dynasty Warriors   NJB : Well I obviously look forward for reviews… even if it’s a tiny one…! Anyway enjoy !   Chapter 2 : First Blood   “We’ll strike Wang Lang now and wait until Zhou Yu shows up.” Sun Ce commanded his men, “Ling Cao, Ling Tong, attack the fortress from behind. I’ll sneak behind and surprise them.” “Yes sir !” Both father and son confirmed to their lords and moved out. Meanwhile, as the elite Wu forces struck on the front, Sun Ce led a small unit to the back entrance of the fortress. And it turned out that there’s no guards guarding it. ‘This is getting too easy !’ Sun Ce thought as he easily snuck upon the fortress.  However, when he came upon a prison, he saw some guards guarding it. “They must be keeping some soldiers as captives.” Sun Ce commented, “Whatever. I’m gonna break through and make them join me !” Sun Ce then ran and roared, turning the guards’ attention to him. “Who’s there !?” The guards yelled, readying their weapon and attacked. However, Sun Ce was far more skilled than them, as he dodged the spear attacks rather easily, and with one knocks on their necks, they fell unconscious. Then, taking their keys, Sun Ce opened the door, and he came to meet a female prisoner whose hands and feet were shackled to two surrounding posts. She looked really young and short, with a crimson braided hair, and an outfit he never saw in China. She was still struggling to free herself, but her attention was averted to Sun Ce when he opened the door. “Hey… what’s a cute little girl like you doing here ?” Sun Ce asked as he approached the girl. But, hearing the word ‘little girl’, the girl became quite pissed off, “Little !?” “Whoa, sorry about that, then !” Sun Ce quickly apologized and in turn, he used the keys he got from the guards and freed the girl from her shackles. “Thanks a lot !” The girl said, quickly forming a smile. Sun Ce, in turn, just scratched his head, and said, “No problem at all !” “Now then… what are you doing here ?” he started asking question, and the girl was silent for awhile, thinking, ‘If I said the truth I don’t think he’ll believe me. Guess I have no choice.’ “Um… I… uh… I got lost here… and was… was accused as a spy.” The girl explained slowly. Sun Ce was a bit puzzled, and knew she was hiding something as her cloth was quite foreign for him, and so asked again, “Spy ? Just… who are you ? Oh wait, lemme repeat that… What’s your name ?” “… Hikaru. My name is Shidou Hikaru.” The girl revealed her name, and that puzzled Sun Ce even more, ‘Now she even got a foreign name too. Man what a strange girl !’ “What about you ?” Hikaru in turn asked Sun Ce, and he answered, “Me ? The name’s Sun Ce. Stylename Bo Fu, but I guess you can call me Sun Ce, or just Ce.” “Sun Ce !? That means you…” Hikaru then started, thinking about Wang Lang’s words before, “The guy that that man mentioned ! He thought I’m your spy !” “Well, so that’s how you got caught.” Sun Ce shrugged off, but then he heard commotions outside. “Uh oh, looks like my men need help !” “Stay here and hide, Hi… uh what was your name again ?” Sun Ce tried to depart, but he kinda forgotten the name, which Hikaru replied, “Hikaru.” “Okay, Hikaru. I think you better hide here until it’s safe.” Sun Ce said as he moved out to fend off the enemy, leaving Hikaru alone. But, deep in her mind, a determination was made. ‘He saved me… and if he’s to fight… then I will help him too !’ Hikaru thought, then she remembered Zuo Ci’s words. ‘If he said my weapon is back, maybe I’ll give it a shot for now.’ Hikaru then concentrated, thinking of her weapon and armor. To her surprise, the orb on her hand re-appeared and in instant, her sword was summoned to her hand and her armor was instantly equipped. She then moved out and thought, ‘I’m coming !’ ++++ Meanwhile, Sun Ce were fighting hand to hand with Wang Lang. “Damn you, you little brat !” Wang Lang cursed as he tried to block one of Sun Ce’s high strike, but he was suddenly struck with a low sweep. “Now, how about this !?” Sun Ce said as he prepared to strike with his tonfa. But, Wang Lang smirked and said, “Look behind you, dimwit !” “Eh !?” Sun Ce looked behind and he saw some archers preparing to fire some arrows to them. Sun Ce then remembered how his father, Sun Jian, received the wounds that would eventually kill him. ‘This is bad. I’m not gonna end up like pops now !’ he thought as he prepared a defensive stance. But, in a shock, suddenly, the archers were knocked down from behind, and rendered unable to fight, as their arms were wounded… To his surprise, Sun Ce saw who did it… Hikaru. “What !? Hikaru !?” Sun Ce exclaimed as his jaw dropped to ground, “Hey, I told you to stay behind !” “Sorry, but I’m not as weak as you thought.” Hikaru answered, and readied her sword, “You helped me. Now I’ll return that favor !” Sun Ce was silent. ‘This gal is not just some typical women I see everyday ! Well I think this is gonna be fun !’ But, as they spoke, Wang Lang used his chance to retreat to the backline and ordered his men to do his dirty work. “Here we go then !” Sun Ce exclaimed as he started beating his enemies with his tonfa, while Hikaru fought with her swords. So far, she hadn’t killed someone with her sword. However, eventually, that moment came. A lone, reckless soldier attacked Hikaru. As an act out of reflex, she swung her sword and her sword cut through the soldier’s body, eventually killing him in process… In the same time, no more enemies has been challenging Sun Ce. “Isn’t there anyone else !?” Sun Ce exclaimed as he still stood with his fighting stance. But, after awhile, there’s no one coming to him. “Guess it’s over…” Sun Ce said as he approached Hikaru, “Hey, Hikaru ! You didn’t do that bad at all ! You’re strong…” Sun Ce’s words were cut off as he saw Hikaru actually was having tears rolling down from her eyes, in front of the first man she killed. ‘I killed him…’ she thought as she remembered the moment she killed Princess Emeraude. And now… she just killed someone else… She was supposed to help Sun Ce’s battle, but she didn’t want things like that to happen… “H… hey, Hikaru. Snap out of it !” Sun Ce’s words caught her attention, and she suddenly hugged Sun Ce, sobbing, “Sun Ce… Must I… keep killing like this ?” “Why do you ask ?” Sun Ce said, and Hikaru replied, “I killed that man… I’m a murderer now…” “Well, you better stop thinking like that, I tell you !” Sun Ce said quite loudly, but sternly, “This is war ! What do you expect !? If you don’t fight and kill, you’ll be killed yourself ! What you did was just a struggle to survive !” “So…?” Hikaru asked as she released her hug, and Sun Ce answered, “I hate this kind of thing too you know. But in war and chaos, the law of the jungle existed. The strong survives, the weak dies ! I have no choice but to kill !” Hikaru could see Sun Ce’s eyes were also forming tears, and so she said, “That’s enough, Sun Ce ! I think I understand, and I guess I’ll stick with you for now…” “Well, that’s better !” Sun Ce answered and then, he saw his officers, Ling Cao and Ling Tong, moving to him and Ling Cao said, “We have eliminated Wang Lang, my lord !” Ling Tong followed, “And we’ve got some volunteer forces that joined us !” “That’s good !” Sun Ce nodded, but suddenly a voice interrupted him, “Sorry I’m a little late, Sun Ce.” Sun Ce looked behind and saw a handsome longhaired man with feminine face, with red, white cloth and a sword on his hand. His face turned into happiness and said, “Well about time, Zhou Yu ! The fun can’t start without you !” “Well… yes, and I see you have enlisted a new promising young officer.” Zhou Yu said as he looked at Hikaru, “For a young officer, he looks strong.” Hikaru was pissed off when she heard the word ‘he’ from Zhou Yu. She may look kinda boyish, but she didn’t like the idea of being mistaken as a boy, and so, she said, “Watch your mouth, you girl ! I’m a girl as well !” “Girl ?” Zhou Yu asked in surprise, and then he just took a notice of Hikaru’s legs. They’re shaped legs, much like the legs of a female. He was a bit shocked, but tried to be calm as he said, “Well forgive me, milady. I just mistook your gender. No wonder you also mistook mine.” “Eh ?” Hikaru asked in disbelief, and her face shown a clueless look, as Zhou Yu answered, “I’m a boy.” “HUH !?” Hikaru said in shock, but she didn’t dare rub Zhou Yu’s chest to check his gender. “Well… uh, sorry about that then ! I… I’m Hikaru. Shidou Hikaru. What’s your name ?” “I am Zhou Yu. I’m Sun Ce’s best friend.” Sun Ce laughed a little, and said, “Girly boy and boyish girl… Man, what a pair !” “Sun Ce, SHUT UP !” Both Zhou Yu and Hikaru said in unison, annoyed with him, and Sun Ce backed off, saying, “Okay, okay ! That was just a joke, all right ? Anyway, what’s your next plan, Zhou Yu ?” “Well if I attack Yan Baihu, the enemy will surely send help from the main camp.” Zhou Yu explained, “Sun Ce, use this momentum to strike Liu Yong’s main camp and occupy it !” “All right then !” Sun Ce said, smashing his fists together, and then he looked at Hikaru, “You’re coming with me too, right ?” Hikaru nodded and said, “Of course !” “Good, let’s move out, everyone !” Sun Ce said to his men and Hikaru and they moved out to the enemy’s main camp. Zhou Yu witnessed Hikaru for awhile, and mumbled, “She seemed to harbor a lot of potential… that girl called Hikaru…” Zhou Yu then ordered his men, “Let us go.” Then he and his army moved out, attacking Yan Baihu… To be Continued
